The Deol brothers’ strong bond shines again as Bobby Deol showers praise on Sunny Deol after the much-awaited teaser of Batwara 1947 dropped online.
Mumbai: The bond between Bollywood brothers Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol has always been one of the strongest in the industry, and once again, it has won hearts online.
Soon after the teaser of Sunny Deol’s upcoming historical drama Batwara 1947 was unveiled, Bobby Deol took to social media to express his admiration and support for his elder brother.
Sharing his excitement, Bobby posted an emotional message praising both Sunny and the film’s team. Calling Sunny “the best,” the actor said he was eagerly looking forward to the film and described the teaser as “amazing,” adding that the movie looked set to be something special.
The heartfelt post quickly caught fans’ attention, with many praising the brothers’ close relationship.
Batwara 1947 marks the much-anticipated reunion of Sunny Deol and celebrated filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi, a duo known for cult classics like Ghayal, Damini, and Ghatak.
The project also marks Sunny’s first collaboration with Aamir Khan Productions, adding more weight to the film’s expectations.
Originally announced as Lahore 1947, the film has now been retitled Batwara 1947.
The story is inspired by the acclaimed play Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya O Jamya E Nai by Asghar Wajahat.

Set against the backdrop of the Partition of India, the film explores themes of humanity, hope, and sacrifice during one of the most painful chapters in Indian history.
Sunny Deol will be seen playing Sikander Mirza, while Preity Zinta makes her much-awaited return to the big screen.

The film also features a powerful supporting cast including Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, and Karan Deol.
Behind the scenes, the film boasts top-tier talent with cinematography by Santosh Sivan, music by A. R. Rahman, and lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar.
The film is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14, 2026, coinciding with the Independence Day weekend.
Meanwhile, Bobby Deol has an exciting lineup of his own. After Bandar, he will next appear in Alpha, part of Yash Raj Films’ spy universe, releasing on July 3, 2026.
He is also set to play the lead antagonist in Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay, and will return as Baba Nirala in **Ek Badnaam… Aashram Season 4.
For now, though, it’s Bobby’s public show of support for Sunny that has become the talking point—proving once again that the Deol family bond remains stronger than ever.
