Bethlehem Kudumba Unit Box Office Day 12: Nivin Pauly-Mamitha Baiju Film Slows Down, but ₹200 Crore Milestone Already Crushed

After enjoying a strong second weekend at the box office, Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju’s Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has finally started showing signs of a weekday slowdown.

The Malayalam romantic comedy collected ₹5.15 crore net in India on Day 12, registering a decline of approximately 14.2% compared with the previous day’s ₹6 crore collection, according to figures reported by Sacnilk.

The decline comes after an excellent weekend run, but the film’s overall numbers remain impressive.

After 12 days in theatres, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has collected ₹93.60 crore net in India, bringing it within touching distance of the coveted ₹100 crore India net milestone.

Its reported India gross stands at ₹109.25 crore.

Worldwide Collection Reaches ₹215.25 Crore

The bigger story, however, is the film’s remarkable performance outside India.

On Day 12, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit reportedly added another ₹4 crore from overseas markets, taking its total international gross to approximately ₹106 crore.

Combined with its Indian earnings, the movie’s worldwide gross has now reached ₹215.25 crore.

The figures underline just how important international audiences have been to the film’s theatrical success.

With more than ₹100 crore coming from overseas markets alone, the romantic comedy has demonstrated considerable appeal beyond its domestic Malayalam-speaking audience.

Kerala Remains the Film’s Biggest Indian Market

Unsurprisingly, Kerala continues to dominate the film’s domestic business.

On Day 12, Kerala reportedly contributed around ₹5.35 crore gross, significantly ahead of every other Indian state.

Karnataka followed with approximately ₹35 lakh, while Tamil Nadu contributed around ₹17 lakh.

Andhra Pradesh added roughly ₹3 lakh, with the remaining Indian markets contributing approximately ₹15 lakh.

The numbers show that the film’s Indian theatrical performance continues to be driven overwhelmingly by its home market.

A Modest Opening Turned Into a Huge Run

The trajectory of Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has been particularly interesting.

The film began its theatrical journey on August 21 with an India net collection of ₹4.90 crore.

Momentum quickly improved.

Day 2 brought ₹7.15 crore, followed by an even stronger ₹8.80 crore on Day 3.

The film then collected ₹6.90 crore on Day 4 before earning ₹7.90 crore on both Days 5 and 6.

Day 7 contributed another ₹8.75 crore, taking its first-week India net collection to ₹52.30 crore.

Instead of slowing down dramatically after the opening week, however, the movie found another gear.

Second Weekend Was Even Bigger

The second weekend proved to be one of the strongest periods of the film’s theatrical run.

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit earned ₹9.55 crore on Day 8, followed by ₹10.20 crore on Day 9.

Day 10 produced its biggest single-day India net collection yet at ₹10.40 crore.

That remarkable second-weekend growth indicated strong audience interest and helped push the movie comfortably beyond the ₹200 crore worldwide mark.

Collections dropped to ₹6 crore on Day 11 before slipping another 14.2% to ₹5.15 crore on Day 12.

Despite the decline, those numbers remain substantial for a film already well into its second week.

₹100 Crore India Net Is Now Within Reach

With its domestic net collection standing at ₹93.60 crore, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit now needs approximately ₹6.40 crore more to cross ₹100 crore net in India.

How quickly it reaches that milestone will depend on its weekday holds and the competition it faces at the box office.

Even with the current slowdown, the film’s second-week performance suggests it still has enough momentum to continue adding meaningful numbers.

The next few days will reveal whether the film stabilises after its midweek decline or experiences a sharper fall heading into its third weekend.
