Alia Bhatt's Alpha Advance Booking: Earns Rs 3.06 Crore, Releases in 9,000+ Shows Across India
Alia Bhatt leads YRF’s first female-led spy thriller Alpha, which has opened across more than 9,000 shows nationwide after earning Rs 3.06 crore in advance bookings.

Alia Bhatt is all set to lead a new chapter in the YRF Spy Universe as Alpha finally hits cinemas across the globe on Friday, July 3. Even before its theatrical debut, the action-packed spy thriller has managed to grab attention with one of the widest releases ever for a female-led Hindi film.

Backed by Yash Raj Films (YRF), Alpha has opened on nearly 2,750 screens across India and is being showcased in more than 9,000 shows nationwide. The impressive release scale highlights the studio’s confidence in the project, despite a competitive box office window.

According to industry estimates, the film has already generated around Rs 3.06 crore through advance ticket bookings before its first show. The advance sales indicate a healthy start, while trade experts believe that strong spot bookings and walk-in audiences could significantly improve the film’s opening-day numbers.

Early projections suggest that Alpha may collect anywhere between Rs 7 crore and Rs 8 crore on its opening day if audience turnout remains strong throughout the day. National multiplex chains are also expected to contribute substantially, with reports indicating that nearly 35,000 tickets have already been sold through major cinema networks.

Trade analysts believe the film’s large-scale release reflects YRF’s powerful distribution network and strong relationships with exhibitors across the country. Despite sharing screens with new releases such as Welcome To The Jungle, Cocktail 2, and Main Vaapas Aaunga, Alpha has secured an impressive theatrical footprint.

The film also marks a historic moment for the YRF Spy Universe, becoming its first female-led action thriller. Until now, the blockbuster franchise has largely revolved around male superstars, delivering massive hits such as Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in lead roles, supported by veteran actors Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. The film promises high-octane action sequences, espionage, and emotional drama while expanding the ever-growing spy universe created by YRF.

While advance bookings suggest a steady rather than explosive opening, industry observers point out that action entertainers often witness a surge in collections as word-of-mouth spreads. The weekend performance will now determine whether Alpha can emerge as another successful addition to one of Bollywood’s biggest cinematic franchises.

With Alia Bhatt leading the charge in an action-centric role and YRF betting big on the franchise’s evolution, all eyes are now on the film’s opening weekend performance at the Indian box office.
