Akanksha Chamola speaks candidly on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, saying she would have preferred to meet her family—or even her pet dog—over estranged husband Gaurav Khanna.

Actor Akanksha Chamola has once again made headlines with her candid remarks on Netflix’s reality show, Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa. After previously revealing that she and actor Gaurav Khanna are living separately and moving towards divorce, Akanksha has now admitted that she was not happy about Gaurav’s surprise appearance on the show.

Speaking during a conversation with fellow contestants Shreya Kalra and Shilpa Shinde, Akanksha described Gaurav as a “stranger” and confessed that she would have felt far more comforted if someone from her family had visited instead.

‘He Wasn’t Family, He Was A Stranger’

The conversation unfolded after Vinny Arora, wife of actor Dheeraj Dhoopar, entered the show for an emotional reunion with her husband. Watching the heartfelt moment, Shreya Kalra admitted that she also wished her boyfriend could visit her.

Responding humorously, Akanksha said that unlike the others, the person who visited her wasn’t really family anymore.

She joked that fellow contestant Varun Yadav, popularly known as Laila, had teased her by saying, “Tera family kaha aaya. Tera to stranger aaya.” (“Your family didn’t come. A stranger came to meet you.”)

Her remark left everyone around her laughing, including Akanksha herself.

‘I Wanted My Comfort’

Explaining her feelings, Akanksha said that Gaurav’s visit did not provide the emotional support she was looking for.

She admitted that she would have preferred the company of someone who truly made her feel comfortable.

In a light-hearted yet emotional confession, Akanksha said she would rather have seen her mother, father, or even her pet dog, adding with a smile, “Mera kutta hi aa jata.”

The comment quickly caught viewers’ attention and has since gone viral across social media.
