Chennai: Speculation surrounding Vijay’s highly anticipated farewell film, Jana Nayagan, has finally been addressed after weeks of rumours flooded social media. The film’s production house, KVN Productions, has officially denied claims that the movie has already received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), calling the widely circulated certificate image completely fake.
The clarification comes after reports suggested that the film had been awarded an ‘A’ certificate along with several mandatory cuts. The alleged certification document quickly went viral, leaving fans excited and raising expectations that the movie’s release announcement was imminent.
However, the makers have now put an end to the speculation.
According to the production team, the CBFC has completed its review of the film but has asked the filmmakers to carry out a final round of revisions before the certification can be officially granted. The producers confirmed that the viral censor certificate circulating online has no authenticity and should not be considered genuine.

The makers are reportedly eyeing a theatrical release during the last week of July or the first week of August, depending on when the CBFC grants its final approval. An official release date is expected to be announced shortly after the certification process is completed.
