Skoda Slavia Facelift Set for August 2026 Debut With Fresh Design and New Technology

The upcoming Škoda Slavia is expected to receive its first major update since its launch in India. While Škoda Auto India has yet to announce an official launch date, industry reports suggest the facelifted sedan will arrive in August 2026.

Spy images and test mules have already revealed several expected changes, indicating that the updated Slavia will receive cosmetic revisions, new technology features, and a fresh automatic gearbox option.

Cabin to Receive a More Premium Feel

Inside the cabin, the 2026 Slavia facelift is expected to feature a larger 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, similar to the one offered in the Škoda Kushaq.

The existing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is likely to continue, along with the familiar two-spoke steering wheel featuring silver scroll controls.

  • Wireless smartphone charger
  • Automatic climate control with rear AC vents
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

Exterior Updates Inspired by the Kushaq

On the outside, the facelift is expected to receive subtle yet noticeable styling revisions.

The front fascia may feature a redesigned grille with an integrated lighting element inspired by the Kushaq, accompanied by revised LED headlamps.

Additional exterior changes are likely to include:

  • Redesigned front bumper
  • Updated rear bumper
  • Newly designed alloy wheels
  • Refreshed lighting elements

The overall silhouette of the sedan is expected to remain unchanged while giving it a more contemporary appearance.

New Automatic Gearbox Could Be the Biggest Mechanical Upgrade

Mechanically, the Slavia facelift is expected to retain its existing turbo-petrol engine lineup.

The sedan is likely to continue offering:

  • 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 115 hp, paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
  • 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 150 hp, available with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

However, reports suggest that the 1.5-litre engine may also receive a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox, similar to the transmission used in the Kushaq, providing buyers with another automatic option.

Launch Expected Before the Festive Season

Although Skoda has not officially confirmed specifications or pricing, the facelifted Slavia is expected to strengthen the brand’s position in India’s competitive midsize sedan market.

With updated styling, additional comfort features, improved technology, and a potential new automatic transmission, the 2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated sedan launches of the year.
