2026 Honda Vario 160 Gets 3 Stunning New Colours in Malaysia… Will India Ever See This Stylish Scooter?
Honda refreshes the Vario 160 with Matte Black, Silver Blue, and Gray Gold, giving the sporty scooter an even more premium appeal, though an India launch remains unlikely.
Kuala Lumpur: Honda has given its popular Vario 160 scooter a fresh visual update for 2026 by introducing three new colour options in the Malaysian market. The latest additions Matte Black, Silver Blue, and Gray Gold expand the scooter’s already extensive colour lineup and further enhance its sporty character.
While the mechanical package remains unchanged, the refreshed colour palette gives the Vario 160 a more premium and eye-catching appearance, appealing to riders looking for a stylish urban scooter.
Three New Colours Add Fresh Appeal
The newly introduced Matte Black finish complements the scooter’s sharp body lines and aggressive styling, giving it a sleek and stealthy look.
The Silver Blue option offers a vibrant yet sophisticated appearance, pairing well with the scooter’s black alloy wheels, exhaust, floorboard, and lower body panels to create a balanced design.
Meanwhile, Gray Gold introduces a warmer and more refined finish, adding a touch of elegance to the scooter without compromising its sporty identity.
With these additions, the 2026 Honda Vario 160 is now available in a wide range of colours, including Yellow, Silver, Matte Red, Blue, Red, Green, Matte Blue, and the three newly launched shades.
Sporty Design Continues to Stand Out
The Vario 160 continues to feature one of the most distinctive designs in Honda’s scooter lineup. Its sharp front fascia, compact windscreen, twin LED headlamps, sculpted side panels, and sporty proportions give it a premium maxi-scooter-inspired appearance while retaining the practicality of a step-through scooter.

The updated colour options further highlight these design elements, making the scooter look more dynamic from every angle.
Engine and Performance
Powering the scooter is the familiar 156.9cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine equipped with Honda’s Enhanced Smart Power Plus (eSP+) technology.

The fuel-injected engine produces approximately 15.2 bhp and 13.8 Nm of peak torque, offering smooth acceleration and strong urban performance. The engine shares its basic architecture with the upcoming Honda ADV 160, including a 60mm bore, 55.5mm stroke, and 12:1 compression ratio.
However, the two scooters are tuned differently. The ADV 160 delivers slightly higher performance and, in its upcoming Indian version, is expected to support E85 fuel, while the Vario 160 remains optimized for city commuting, fuel efficiency, and lightweight handling.
Will Honda Launch the Vario 160 in India?
Despite its growing popularity in Southeast Asia, Honda currently has no plans to introduce the Vario 160 in the Indian market. The company’s focus remains on other premium scooter offerings, including the upcoming ADV 160.
For Indian enthusiasts, the refreshed Vario 160 serves as another reminder of a stylish scooter that remains exclusive to international markets—for now.
