Tom Holland breaks silence on Spider-Man future ahead of Brand New Day: ‘I’ll do it for as long as they’ll have me’
Ahead of the premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tom Holland has reassured Marvel fans that he has no plans to leave the iconic superhero role anytime soon, while teasing an exciting future for Peter Parker in the MCU.
Tom Holland has put to rest speculation surrounding his future as Spider-Man, confirming that he is more than happy to continue playing Peter Parker for as long as Marvel Studios and audiences want him in the role.
Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the actor expressed his excitement about the franchise’s future and hinted that his journey as the beloved web-slinger is far from over.
Tom Holland wants to keep playing Spider-Man
After portraying Spider-Man across six Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films, Holland is preparing to headline his fourth standalone adventure with Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Rumours had previously suggested that the actor might be considering stepping away from the role and eventually passing the mantle to another hero, particularly with Miles Morales expected to make his live-action debut in the future.
However, Holland has now made his intentions clear.
“I will do it for as long as they’ll have me,” the actor said, adding that if Brand New Day performs well, there could be many more Spider-Man stories ahead.
He also acknowledged that there will eventually come a time to hand over the role, saying he would love to pass the baton to the next generation when the moment feels right.
A new chapter begins for Peter Parker
Spider-Man: Brand New Day serves as a fresh beginning for Peter Parker following the emotional ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The upcoming film is set four years after the events of the previous movie, where Doctor Strange’s spell erased Peter Parker’s identity from everyone’s memory to stop a multiversal crisis.
With MJ and Ned Leeds no longer remembering him, Peter finds himself completely alone as he navigates life while confronting new enemies and discovering mysterious new abilities.
According to Holland, the sequel explores a more mature side of Peter Parker, focusing on loneliness, responsibility and personal growth.

Big expectations at the box office
Industry projections suggest that Spider-Man: Brand New Day could enjoy a massive opening at the box office, with early tracking indicating a potential domestic debut of around $250 million in the United States.
The strong anticipation reflects the continued popularity of Holland’s portrayal of Spider-Man, which has become one of the defining characters of the MCU.
What lies ahead for the MCU?

While Marvel Studios is developing future projects that could introduce Miles Morales into its live-action universe, Holland’s latest comments indicate that Peter Parker will remain a central figure in the franchise for the foreseeable future.
For Marvel fans, the message is reassuring: Tom Holland isn’t ready to hang up the iconic red-and-blue suit just yet, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day may be the beginning of another exciting chapter in the superhero’s cinematic journey.
