Celebrated playback singer Sonu Nigam has opened up about a recent health challenge that has left fans concerned across the country. In a candid video shared on social media, the singer revealed that he has been dealing with a painful nerve-related condition and is currently undergoing extensive medical treatment.

The singer disclosed that he has spent the past week undergoing multiple medical examinations, including MRI scans and CT scans, as doctors work to identify the exact cause of his discomfort.

Speaking directly to fans ahead of his scheduled live performance in Mumbai, Sonu explained the severity of the situation.

“My nerves are pinched. I have been taking MRI and CT scans for a week. I have been taking a lot of medicines. Physiotherapy was very painful,” he said in the video.

The singer further shared that he is currently relying on painkillers to manage the condition while continuing treatment.

Health Issues Affecting His Voice

For a performer whose career revolves around his voice, the situation has become even more challenging.

According to Sonu, some of the medications prescribed to relax his muscles have also affected his throat, making it feel heavier than usual.

“Due to the medicines, my throat is also a little heavy,” he revealed.

Despite the discomfort and ongoing treatment, Sonu Nigam made it clear that he has no intention of cancelling his upcoming concert. His commitment to his audience remains unchanged, even while dealing with physical pain.
