Sonakshi Sinha says youTube is ‘Fun, Not income’… Reveals why acting will always come first

In an era where celebrities are rapidly building careers as digital creators, Sonakshi Sinha is making one thing very clear content creation may be fun, but it is not her main profession.

The actress, who has built a strong online presence with over one million YouTube subscribers, recently shared her thoughts on balancing the digital world with her acting career. While her makeup videos, vlogs, and personal content have found a loyal audience, Sonakshi says acting remains her true calling.

Speaking at a recent beauty product event, the actress explained that social media and digital platforms are simply a way for her to stay connected with fans.

“The digital space has really flourished in the last few years, and it’s a great way for me to reach my audience directly,” Sonakshi said.

She added that creating content allows her to be her authentic self without pressure, which is why it feels more like enjoyment than work.

However, she was quick to clarify that she does not see it as a primary source of income.

“I’m not making it my main source of income. It will always be a by-product of what I’m doing,” she said, underlining that her identity will always be rooted in cinema.

With more than 15 years in Bollywood, Sonakshi has seen the film industry evolve dramatically not just in storytelling but also in how beauty is represented.

She noted that cinema plays a huge role in shaping beauty trends, public perception, and cultural standards.

Beyond films and fame, Sonakshi also shared a personal glimpse into her skincare routine, revealing that much of her beauty wisdom comes from her mother, Poonam Sinha.

Describing her mother’s approach as simple and natural, Sonakshi said Poonam believes in avoiding unnecessary treatments and prefers traditional remedies.

One habit she particularly mentioned was using fresh aloe vera regularly on the skin a timeless skincare ritual that has stayed relevant across generations.

As digital fame continues to grow, Sonakshi’s honest perspective stands out: trends may change, platforms may evolve, but for her, the magic of acting still comes first.
