Triptii Dimri in Maa Behen marks a shift from her widely चर्चित role in Animal.

Actor Ravi Kishan believes that the film Maa Behen has arrived at the perfect time for Triptii Dimri. According to him, the project has played a crucial role in reshaping how audiences view the young actor following her breakout role in Animal.

Speaking about the film in a recent interview, Ravi didn’t hold back his admiration. “Thank God this film came into Triptii Dimri’s life… it pulled her out of her ‘Animal’ image,” he said, highlighting how Maa Behen has allowed her to move beyond the perception built around her previous role.

A Much-Needed Shift for Triptii Dimri

Triptii Dimri’s portrayal of Zoya in Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, proved to be a turning point in her career. Starring alongside Ranbir Kapoor, her role — though limited in screen time — left a strong impact on audiences and quickly made her one of the most talked-about faces in Bollywood.

She was soon dubbed the “national crush” across social media platforms. However, the attention came with its share of criticism, particularly surrounding the film’s intimate scenes, which sparked debate about her role choices.

“Fame came fast… but so did the labels,” as many industry observers noted.

‘Maa Behen’ Brings Back the Actor, Not the Image

Ravi Kishan believes Maa Behen has helped audiences rediscover Triptii beyond the shadow of Animal. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film showcases a different dimension of her acting abilities.

“This film reminded audiences that she can do so much more,” Ravi hinted, stressing that actors should not be boxed into one image based on a single role.

The film, which also stars Madhuri Dixit, Arunoday Singh, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Shardul Bhardwaj, began streaming on Netflix on June 4.

Ravi Kishan Draws Parallel with Madhuri Dixit

Interestingly, Ravi also drew a comparison with Madhuri Dixit’s career, pointing out how even legendary actors can sometimes be remembered more for their iconic songs than their performances.

Referring to classics like Dhak Dhak Karne Laga and Choli Ke Peeche, he noted that “her biggest hits sometimes overshadowed her finest performances.”

Through Maa Behen, he believes audiences are reminded of the depth and range both actors bring to the screen.

A Defining Moment in Triptii’s Career?

The journey from Animal to Maa Behen marks a significant transition for Triptii Dimri — from being a viral sensation to proving her staying power as a performer.

In an industry that often labels actors quickly, projects like these can redefine narratives. “Not every breakout role should become a lifelong identity,” as many believe.

With Maa Behen, Triptii seems to be doing exactly that — stepping out of a shadow and into a space where her craft takes center stage.
