‘We Don’t Really Feel a Difference’: Rakul Preet Singh Opens Up About Married Life With Jackky Bhagnani

Actor Rakul Preet Singh has offered a candid glimpse into her life after marrying producer-actor Jackky Bhagnani, saying that marriage has felt like a natural progression of their relationship rather than a major life change.

Speaking during the News18 Rising Bharat Summit in Bengaluru on Friday, Rakul said the couple has settled comfortably into married life and continues to share the same bond they had before tying the knot.

‘We Don’t Really Feel A Difference’

During the interaction, Rakul was asked how life had changed after taking on new roles—not just as an actor and entrepreneur, but also as a wife.

Responding with her trademark humour, the actress laughed before saying she had momentarily forgotten that “wife” was the next chapter.

She went on to explain that both she and Jackky have transitioned into marriage with ease.

According to Rakul, the biggest surprise has been that they hardly notice any difference in their day-to-day lives, adding that the journey into this new phase has been smooth and fulfilling.

Marriage Hasn’t Changed Professional Decisions

Rakul also dismissed the notion that marrying into a film family has influenced her career choices.

She explained that when she and Jackky began dating, their relationship was built around compatibility as individuals rather than their shared connection to the entertainment industry.

The actress said they bonded over similar values, lifestyles and outlooks on life instead of their professions.

She further revealed that both of them continue to make independent professional decisions and avoid interfering in each other’s work, allowing each person to pursue their career freely.

A Relationship Built On Shared Values

Highlighting the foundation of their relationship, Rakul said mutual understanding and shared values have always been more important than belonging to the same industry.

She suggested that this understanding has helped them adapt to married life naturally, without feeling the need to redefine their relationship after marriage.

Professional Journey Continues

Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani tied the knot in a grand wedding ceremony in Goa in February 2024, after dating for several years.

On the work front, Rakul was last seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi.

She is also set to appear in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, one of the most anticipated Indian films, which is scheduled for release later this year.
