New Maruti XL6 Facelift Previewed! Suzuki Reveals 2026 XL7 With Fresh Looks and Bigger Screen

The wait for the next Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift may be getting shorter. Suzuki has unveiled its updated XL7 at the 2026 Indonesia Motor Show, and the refreshed three-row MPV is widely expected to preview the design and features that could eventually make their way to India’s Maruti Suzuki XL6.

While the latest XL7 doesn’t bring major mechanical changes, Suzuki has given its popular MPV a handful of styling and technology upgrades. The India-spec XL6 facelift is expected to arrive by the end of 2026, although the exact launch date has not yet been officially confirmed.

Suzuki XL7 gets a sharper new look

The biggest changes to the updated XL7 can be seen on the outside.

At the front, the three-row MPV now features a redesigned bumper and a wider gloss-black grille. The fog-lamp surrounds have also been revised, while the silver-finished skid plate gets a sleeker design.

The dark treatment continues across several other exterior elements. The 16-inch alloy wheels, outside rear-view mirrors, door handles, A-pillars and roof now feature gloss-black detailing, giving the XL7 a slightly sportier appearance.

At the back, the changes are more limited, with the most noticeable addition being a newly designed spoiler.

The MPV continues with LED headlamps, smoked LED tail-lights, a rear wiper and washer, and a familiar rear bumper featuring a contrasting skid plate. A black insert below the rear windscreen also remains part of the design.

Given the close relationship between the XL7 and India’s XL6, several of these styling updates could potentially appear on the upcoming Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift.

Interior changes are minimal, but there is one important upgrade

Inside the cabin, Suzuki has taken a more conservative approach.

The overall dashboard layout remains largely unchanged, but the updated XL7 gets a glossy finish on the dashboard along with a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The cabin continues with a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and connectivity features including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Other highlights include automatic climate control, ventilated cup holders, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), roof-mounted air-conditioning vents for second-row passengers, a 360-degree camera and cruise control.

The cabin retains its predominantly black theme, maintaining the XL7’s familiar premium yet practical character.

Will the India-spec XL6 get the same updates?

That is the big question for Indian buyers.

The Suzuki XL7 sold in Indonesia is closely related to the Maruti Suzuki XL6 available in India. This makes the Indonesian model a useful preview of what the facelifted XL6 could look like.

The updated exterior design, including the revised grille, bumper and blacked-out styling elements, is expected to influence the Indian model. The larger 9-inch touchscreen could also be one of the key technology upgrades for the XL6 facelift.

However, the final India-spec version could receive market-specific changes in terms of equipment, styling and features.

Engine options expected to remain familiar

Under the bonnet, the updated Suzuki XL7 continues with the existing K15B petrol engine, paired with five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmission options in Indonesia.

For India, the facelifted XL6 is expected to retain the familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.

In its current specification, the engine produces around 102 bhp of power and 137 Nm of torque. Buyers are also expected to continue getting the choice of a five-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.

A CNG variant is also likely to remain part of the XL6 line-up. The CNG version is expected to offer a claimed fuel efficiency of around 26.23 km/kg, making it an appealing option for buyers looking for lower running costs.

Maruti XL6 facelift could arrive later this year

The arrival of the updated XL7 in Indonesia has raised expectations around the Indian launch of the Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift.

For Maruti Suzuki, the XL6 occupies an interesting position in India’s MPV market, offering a more premium alternative to the Ertiga while retaining the practicality of a three-row family vehicle.

The facelift doesn’t appear to be a radical transformation. Instead, Suzuki seems to be following a familiar formula: sharpen the exterior styling, add a few useful technology upgrades and retain the proven mechanical package.

If the India-spec XL6 follows the XL7’s updates closely, the refreshed MPV could appeal to buyers looking for a practical family car with a slightly more modern design and improved in-cabin technology.

For now, Indian buyers will have to wait for official confirmation. But with the new XL7 already revealed, the next-generation look of the Maruti XL6 facelift may no longer be much of a mystery.
