‘I Have felt emotional deafness’: Harshad Chopda finally reveals why he never married… His painful confession leaves fans emotional
The television star opens up like never before on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa 2, sharing the heartbreak, betrayal and emotional struggles that changed his outlook on love and relationships.
Mumbai: Popular television actor Harshad Chopda, known for keeping his personal life away from the spotlight, has made one of his most emotional revelations yet. During his stint on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa Season 2, the actor candidly spoke about love, heartbreak and why he never chose to get married despite spending more than two decades in the entertainment industry.
In one of the show’s emotional conversations, fellow contestant Shreya Kalra asked Harshad about his decision to remain unmarried. The question led the actor to open up about a deeply personal chapter of his life that has rarely been discussed in public.
Harshad admitted that he had once found someone he believed could be his life partner, but things eventually fell apart. Reflecting on relationships, he said he believes the right person can become a person’s greatest strength, but every meaningful relationship also comes with the possibility of heartbreak.
The actor confessed that after experiencing emotional pain, he has become comfortable living what he described as a “neutral” life, choosing peace over chasing happiness that might come with emotional risks.
Speaking further, Harshad shared that he has dated over the years, but repeatedly found himself disappointed. He explained that one of the biggest challenges he faced was the disconnect between words and actions in relationships.
Describing his emotional experience, the actor said he often felt unheard despite expressing his feelings honestly. He referred to this as experiencing “emotional deafness,” saying it felt as though he was speaking but the other person simply wasn’t listening or understanding.
Harshad also admitted that he believes he may have been “too available” in relationships, suggesting that his willingness to give everything emotionally may have worked against him.
Heartbreak That Changed Everything
During the premiere episode, hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh questioned Harshad about why fans know so little about his personal life despite his long television career.

Responding honestly, the actor revealed that he was once far more socially active. However, a painful incident in 2010 completely changed his personality.
Harshad disclosed that he lost both a close friend and his girlfriend at the same time after discovering that his partner had cheated on him with his best friend. The betrayal left a lasting impact on him, making him more guarded and private over the years.

The emotional confession has resonated strongly with viewers, many of whom praised the actor for speaking openly about heartbreak and emotional vulnerability after remaining silent for so many years.
