‘I Know Nothing’: Elizabeth Olsen Breaks Silence on Avengers: Doomsday and secret wars return

Marvel fans continue to speculate about the return of Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff), but the actress says she has no updates regarding her future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

During an appearance at the Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo, Olsen was asked whether Wanda Maximoff would appear in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars. Her response, however, left fans with more questions than answers.

‘I Know Nothing About Those Films’

Speaking candidly, Olsen said she has no knowledge about the upcoming Avengers projects.

According to the actress, the only Marvel production she is aware of is VisionQuest, largely because she has recently met with actor Paul Bettany, who is set to reprise his role as Vision.

Olsen explained that she actually prefers not being informed about Marvel’s future plans, saying it reduces the risk of accidentally revealing confidential details during interviews.

She also joked that staying uninformed is the safest option because even an innocent remark can quickly turn into widespread speculation among fans.

Avoiding Spoilers Is Easier, Says Olsen

The actress reiterated that she genuinely has no information about Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars.

She noted that in the Marvel universe, even small comments can be interpreted as clues, leading to rumours that spread rapidly across social media and fan communities.

By staying away from production details, Olsen believes she can avoid unintentionally creating false expectations.

Scarlet Witch Will Return Only If the Story Demands It

Although she neither confirmed nor denied a future return as Scarlet Witch, Olsen made it clear that she would only be interested if the character genuinely serves the story.

The actress said she enjoys contributing creative ideas whenever she is involved in a Marvel project and wants Wanda’s appearances to have meaningful purpose rather than being included simply for surprise value.

According to Olsen, she would be excited to return if the character helps strengthen the overall narrative and enhances the storytelling experience for audiences.

Marvel Fans Continue to Hope

Despite Olsen’s comments, speculation surrounding Scarlet Witch’s future remains strong.

Since Wanda Maximoff’s fate was left uncertain following the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, many fans continue to believe the powerful character could eventually return in one of Marvel’s upcoming multiverse-focused films.

For now, however, Elizabeth Olsen insists she has no inside information about Avengers: Doomsday, Avengers: Secret Wars, or any future MCU appearances beyond what has already been publicly announced.
