Mumbai: The ongoing controversy surrounding Don 3 has become one of the most talked-about disputes in the Hindi film industry, with fresh claims now adding another layer of intrigue to the high-profile project.

At the centre of the storm is actor Ranveer Singh, whose reported exit from the much-anticipated film triggered a series of reactions from producers, industry bodies, and film associations. Speaking about the dispute, Pandit said the producers behind Don 3 had already invested approximately Rs 45 crore in pre-production work before the project hit an unexpected roadblock.

According to him, preparations for the film were at an advanced stage. Styling sessions had reportedly been completed, costumes finalized, travel arrangements made, and hotel bookings secured for the cast and crew.

Pandit alleged that the production unit was scheduled to leave for filming within weeks when the lead actor reportedly withdrew from the project.

He claimed that the federation reviewed communications and documentation provided by the filmmakers as part of the complaint process.

Why the Dispute Became So Serious

Industry insiders say the controversy is not merely about a casting change but about the financial implications associated with large-scale film productions.

Big-budget projects often involve significant spending months before cameras begin rolling. Expenses related to location scouting, costume design, technical planning, logistics, and crew arrangements can run into crores of rupees long before principal photography starts.
