Cocktail 2 Sees Surprise Jump on Day 12, Shahid–Kriti–Rashmika Film Nears ₹90 Crore Mark Despite Mixed Reviews
Steady weekday performance keeps the romantic drama afloat as worldwide earnings cross ₹130 crore
Despite opening to mixed reviews, Cocktail 2 continues to hold its ground at the box office, showing impressive consistency in its second week. The romantic drama, directed by Homi Adajania and starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, recorded a slight jump in collections on Day 12.
According to trade estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned ₹1.85 crore net in India on its 12th day from around 3,600+ shows. This marks a 5.7% increase compared to its Day 11 collection of ₹1.75 crore, indicating steady audience interest even during weekdays.
Box Office Performance So Far
With the latest numbers, Cocktail 2 has reached a total of ₹86.75 crore (India net), while its India gross stands at ₹103.45 crore. The film has also performed decently in overseas markets, adding ₹0.50 crore on Day 12 and pushing its international total to ₹28.45 crore.
Overall, the film’s worldwide gross collection has climbed to an impressive ₹131.89 crore.
Strong Start, Stable Run
The film had a solid first week, earning ₹70.50 crore net in its opening seven days. Its performance was driven largely by a strong opening weekend, where collections rose steadily from ₹13.50 crore on Day 1 to ₹17.75 crore on Sunday.

While weekday numbers have naturally dipped since then, the film has managed to maintain a consistent pace, avoiding any sharp decline — a positive sign for its long-term box office run.
A Spiritual Sequel with Big Expectations
Cocktail 2 is positioned as a spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit Cocktail, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty.

Given the popularity of the original film, expectations were high. While the sequel hasn’t fully matched the critical acclaim of its predecessor, its steady box office performance suggests that audience curiosity and star power are keeping it afloat.
What Lies Ahead?
With the ₹90 crore mark within reach, all eyes are now on the film’s second weekend performance. If the current trend continues, Cocktail 2 could comfortably cross the milestone and strengthen its box office standing.
In an unpredictable box office landscape, consistency often matters more than a blockbuster opening — and Cocktail 2 seems to be proving exactly that.
