Malayalam actress Anna Rajan, who is set to appear in the upcoming film Jailer 2, has spoken out after allegedly becoming the target of online harassment involving a morphed image circulated on Instagram. Condemning the incident as an attack on her reputation, the actress has announced that she will pursue legal action against those involved.
The controversy has once again highlighted growing concerns over cyber abuse and the misuse of social media platforms to spread manipulated content.
Anna Rajan calls the edited image ‘shameful and unacceptable’
Sharing a screenshot of the alleged Instagram post, Anna Rajan claimed that one of her photographs had been digitally altered and shared in an obscene and defamatory manner.
Expressing her anguish, the actress stated that the manipulated image was deliberately created to damage her reputation.”This image has been maliciously edited and posted in an obscene and defamatory manner to damage my reputation. This is shameful and unacceptable and a grave violation of my privacy and dignity,” she wrote.
Anna further revealed that she has already reported the account to Instagram and will also initiate legal proceedings under the applicable laws.
She made it clear that every individual involved in creating or circulating the morphed image would be held accountable.”Legal action will be taken, and I will pursue this matter until justice is served,” she added.

Appeals to Kerala Police for immediate action
Along with her statement, Anna tagged the official social media handles of Kerala Police and Cyberdome Kerala, requesting immediate intervention.
The actress said she has preserved all the available evidence and plans to file an official police complaint.
She also urged internet users not to share or engage with the manipulated content, pointing out that circulating such material only worsens the emotional distress faced by victims of online harassment.
Her appeal concluded with a strong message encouraging people to refrain from supporting abusive and defamatory content on social media.

The incident has reignited discussions about the increasing number of cyber harassment cases targeting celebrities and public figures.
