Chennai: As Vijay bids farewell to his acting career with Jana Nayagan, one of his closest creative collaborators, Anirudh Ravichander, has shared an emotional message that has resonated deeply with fans across social media.

The celebrated music composer, who has delivered some of the biggest chartbusters in Vijay’s career, reflected on their 12-year-long partnership, calling it an unforgettable journey filled with trust, creativity, and lasting memories.

Anirudh’s Emotional Tribute

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Anirudh penned a heartfelt note thanking Vijay for believing in him throughout their successful collaborations.“It has been a thoroughly amazing and emotional journey with you through Jana Nayagan, Leo, Beast, Master and Kaththi. Thank you actor Vijay sir for the unlimited trust and memories that I will cherish forever. The music lives on.”

The post quickly went viral, with thousands of fans praising the bond shared by the actor and composer, whose collaborations have produced some of Tamil cinema’s most memorable songs.

A Partnership That Defined an Era

The duo first worked together on Kaththi (2014), marking the beginning of a musical partnership that went on to shape modern Tamil cinema.

Over the years, they delivered several blockbuster tracks that became fan favourites, including:

  • “Selfie Pulla” from Kaththi
  • “Vaathi Coming” and “Kutti Story” from Master
  • “Naa Ready” and “Bloody Sweet” from Leo
  • “Thalapathy Kacheri” from Jana Nayagan

These songs not only topped music charts but also became cultural phenomena, strengthening the iconic Vijay–Anirudh combination.

An Emotional Final Theatre Experience

The composer received a warm welcome from moviegoers and greeted the cheering crowd before recreating Vijay’s iconic hand gesture from Mersal, drawing loud applause inside the theatre.

A Farewell Beyond the Screen

With Vijay stepping away from films to focus on his political journey, Anirudh’s heartfelt tribute has become one of the most emotional moments surrounding Jana Nayagan.
