Spider-Man: Brand New Day Box Office Day 5: Tom Holland’s Marvel Blockbuster Slows After Historic Weekend, Eyes ₹350 Crore in India
After rewriting Hollywood box office records over its opening weekend, Spider-Man: Brand New Day witnessed the expected Monday drop but continues its impressive march towards the ₹350 crore gross mark in India.
New Delhi: Tom Holland’s latest Marvel outing, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, continued its dream run at the Indian box office despite witnessing a significant drop in collections on its fifth day. Following a record-breaking opening weekend, the superhero film recorded the usual weekday slowdown but remains firmly on course to cross the ₹350 crore gross milestone in India.
According to early trade estimates, Spider-Man: Brand New Day collected ₹23.80 crore net on Day 5 (Monday) across 16,874 shows nationwide. The film’s earnings declined by nearly 69.4% compared to its exceptional Sunday collection of ₹77.75 crore net, a trend commonly seen after blockbuster weekend performances.
Despite the sharp dip, the film has maintained a strong hold at the box office, taking its total India collection to ₹281.75 crore net, while the gross collection stands at approximately ₹336.91 crore.
Among the various language versions, the English version emerged as the biggest contributor with an estimated ₹12.50 crore net on Monday. The Hindi dubbed version followed with around ₹8.75 crore, while the Tamil and Telugu versions contributed approximately ₹1.50 crore and ₹1 crore, respectively.

The film has enjoyed an extraordinary theatrical run since its release on July 30, opening with a record-breaking ₹60.60 crore net on its first day in India the biggest opening day ever recorded by a Hollywood film in the country.

It crossed the ₹100 crore net milestone within just two days, collecting ₹49.35 crore on Friday. Collections surged over the weekend, with the film earning ₹70.25 crore on Saturday before reaching a new peak of ₹77.75 crore on Sunday, marking the highest single-day collection for any Hollywood release in India.
The film’s exceptional performance has once again highlighted the massive popularity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) among Indian audiences, with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man continuing to enjoy a loyal fan following across the country.
Set after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the story follows Peter Parker as he adjusts to a lonely new life after the world forgets his identity. Separated from MJ and Ned, Peter dedicates himself entirely to protecting New York City, embracing his role as Spider-Man while navigating life without the people closest to him.
Although weekday collections have slowed, industry observers expect the superhero blockbuster to remain a strong performer in the coming days, with the ₹350 crore gross milestone now well within reach.
