Redmi K100 Series Leak Sparks Excitement: Flagship Snapdragon Chip, 16GB RAM and HyperOS 3 Spotted on Geekbench
A mysterious Xiaomi device believed to be part of the upcoming Redmi K100 series has appeared on Geekbench, revealing powerful hardware and performance figures ahead of its expected China launch.
The upcoming Redmi K100 series is already generating plenty of buzz ahead of its expected debut in China. Now, a new leak may have revealed some of the most important specifications of the upcoming smartphone, including its processor, RAM and operating system.
According to a report by Gizmochina, an unidentified Xiaomi smartphone carrying the model number M511CD has reportedly appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.
While Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the device’s identity, the model is believed to be linked to the upcoming Redmi K100 series. If the reports are accurate, the new smartphone could be powered by one of Qualcomm‘s flagship Snapdragon processors.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 could power the Redmi K100
The biggest highlight of the alleged Geekbench listing is the processor.
The Redmi K100 series handset is reportedly equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a high-end octa-core chipset from Qualcomm that is said to be manufactured using a 3nm process.

According to the leaked listing, the processor configuration includes six efficiency cores clocked at up to 3.63GHz, along with two performance cores capable of reaching a maximum clock speed of 4.61GHz.
The chipset is also reportedly paired with an Adreno 840 GPU, suggesting that the Redmi K100 could be positioned as a performance-focused smartphone capable of handling demanding games, intensive applications and AI-powered features.
If this hardware combination makes it into the final product, the Redmi K100 could become one of the more powerful smartphones in its segment.
16GB RAM and HyperOS 3 tipped
The alleged Geekbench listing also points towards a substantial amount of memory.
The device was reportedly detected with 14.73GB of RAM, a figure that could translate into 16GB RAM in the commercial version.
That would give the smartphone plenty of headroom for multitasking and demanding applications. It could also help Xiaomi promote the device as a premium performance smartphone.
On the software front, the Redmi K100 is rumoured to run HyperOS 3, reportedly based on Android 16.
The combination of a next-generation Snapdragon processor, large RAM capacity and newer software could make the upcoming phone particularly interesting for users who prioritise performance and long-term usability.
Geekbench scores reveal serious performance potential
The alleged Redmi K100 series smartphone reportedly achieved 3,429 points in the single-core test and 10,461 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench.
While benchmark scores should not be treated as a guarantee of real-world performance, these figures suggest that the handset could offer a significant performance boost.
However, it is worth remembering that benchmark listings can sometimes involve engineering or pre-production units. Final retail hardware and software optimisation may therefore produce different results.

China launch could be close
The timing of the leak is particularly interesting.
The Redmi K100 series is expected to be introduced in China soon, with reports suggesting that Xiaomi could unveil the new K series smartphone towards the end of the month during the ChinaJoy event.
The company has reportedly started teasing a new K series device, adding further fuel to speculation that an official announcement may not be far away.
The appearance of the alleged handset on Geekbench could therefore be another indication that the launch is approaching.
Battery and wireless charging could be another major upgrade
The performance hardware is not the only area where the Redmi K100 series could see improvements.
Earlier reports have suggested that the upcoming Redmi K100 could feature a larger battery compared with its predecessor. Wireless charging support has also been tipped as one of the potential additions.
If these rumours prove accurate, Xiaomi could be aiming to make the K100 series more than just a performance-focused upgrade.
A larger battery could help users get more endurance from the powerful Snapdragon chipset, while wireless charging would bring a more premium touch to the overall experience.
Redmi K100: What we know so far
Based on the current leaks, the rumoured Redmi K100 series smartphone could feature:
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship chipset
- Up to 16GB RAM
- Adreno 840 GPU
- HyperOS 3 based on Android 16
- Geekbench scores of around 3,429 single-core and 10,461 multi-core
- A larger battery compared with the previous generation, according to earlier reports
- Possible wireless charging support
- Expected China launch around the end of the month
However, none of these specifications have been officially confirmed by Xiaomi or Redmi at the time of writing.
A powerful new contender?
The Redmi K series has traditionally focused on delivering high-end performance at competitive prices, and the Redmi K100 appears to be following the same philosophy—at least if the leaks turn out to be accurate.
The combination of a flagship Snapdragon chipset, potentially 16GB of RAM, HyperOS 3 and a larger battery could make the upcoming device an exciting addition to the premium smartphone market.
For now, smartphone fans will have to wait for Redmi and Xiaomi to officially lift the curtain.
But with the alleged K100 already showing up on Geekbench, the question is no longer just what will the Redmi K100 offer? The bigger question is: How aggressively will Xiaomi price a phone with this kind of flagship hardware?
