Tata Motors has added another milestone to its growing electric vehicle portfolio, with the 2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift securing a 5-star safety rating in the latest Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP or BNCAP) crash tests.
The compact electric SUV earned top scores in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP), reinforcing Tata’s reputation for building some of India’s safest passenger vehicles.
Crash Test Scores
The 2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift achieved impressive results in the BNCAP assessment:
- Adult Occupant Protection (AOP): 31.09 out of 32
- Child Occupant Protection (COP): 45 out of 49
While the Child Occupant Protection score remains unchanged from the previous model, the Adult Occupant Protection score is marginally lower. Despite the slight difference, the vehicle comfortably retains its 5-star crash safety rating.

- Top-spec variant: Priced at ₹12.59 lakh (ex-showroom)
