The conflict involving the United States, Iran, and Israel appears to be entering another dangerous phase, with multiple reports suggesting that Washington and Tel Aviv are considering coordinated military strikes targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure.

According to reports by Axios, CBS News, and The Wall Street Journal, US President Donald Trump has not yet given final approval for the proposed operation, but discussions within the administration are reportedly focused on increasing pressure on Tehran amid ongoing ceasefire negotiations.

Report claims energy infrastructure could be targeted

According to Axios, citing a US official, the White House is evaluating possible strikes on Iranian energy-related facilities, including infrastructure linked to the country’s oil and power sectors.

The report states that the proposed operation is intended to intensify pressure on Iran in an effort to push Tehran towards accepting Washington’s ceasefire terms.

However, officials familiar with the matter reportedly stressed that President Trump has not made a final decision on whether to proceed with the military action.

Israel reportedly coordinating with the US

CBS News reported that the United States and Israel have been coordinating potential joint air strikes against Iranian energy assets, including petroleum refineries and power plants.

The report also claimed that several senior White House officials raised concerns about the proposed operation during internal discussions, and no formal authorisation has yet been issued.
