‘Yash Is Married Too… So Why Only Kiara?’: Toxic Actor Calls Out Trolls Over ‘Tabaahi’ Song Backlash

The release of ‘Tabaahi’, a song from the upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, has sparked widespread discussion on social media. Benedict Garrett said he had noticed social media users applauding Yash’s performance while simultaneously making personal remarks about Kiara because she is recently married and a mother.

He argued that both actors are professionals whose job is to portray fictional characters and emotions on screen.

Pointing out that Yash is also married and a father, Benedict questioned why only Kiara was being criticised for performing romantic scenes while her male co-star was celebrated.

According to him, the backlash reflects society’s double standards rather than anything about the actors themselves.

He also noted that audiences should recognise the distinction between an actor’s real life and the fictional characters they play on screen.
