Despite the weekday slowdown, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has maintained a strong theatrical run, crossing the ₹100 crore gross mark in India within just six days.
Christopher Nolan’s mythological epic The Odyssey continues to dominate the Indian box office, achieving another major milestone just six days after its release.
The film, which generated massive excitement ahead of its theatrical debut, has now entered the ₹100 crore gross club in India, reaffirming Nolan’s popularity among Indian moviegoers.
Featuring an ensemble cast led by Matt Damon, the visually spectacular adaptation of Homer’s legendary epic was filmed entirely using IMAX cameras and had a grand India premiere in Mumbai, attended by Nolan along with actors Matt Damon and Tom Holland.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, The Odyssey earned an estimated ₹6.50 crore net in India on Day 6.

Although collections witnessed the expected decline after the weekend, the film has continued to attract audiences across multiplexes.
Strong Weekend Laid the Foundation
The film enjoyed an impressive opening weekend, collecting more than ₹61 crore net in its first three days.
After opening with ₹17.40 crore on Friday, collections surged on Saturday before remaining strong on Sunday, giving the film excellent momentum heading into the weekdays.

Global Box Office Also Soars
The film has delivered equally remarkable results worldwide.
According to Variety, The Odyssey debuted with $124.5 million from 3,919 theatres across North America, making it Christopher Nolan’s biggest domestic opening since The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

The report also stated that the film earned $139.6 million from 73 international markets, taking its worldwide opening weekend collection to $264.1 million.
With these numbers, The Odyssey has recorded the biggest global opening of Christopher Nolan’s career, surpassing the opening weekends of:
- Oppenheimer
- The Dark Knight
- The Dark Knight Rises
