As Shah Rukh interacted with the audience on June 25, a female fan openly confessed that she loved him “more than her husband.” The unexpected declaration drew smiles across the venue, but it was the actor’s spontaneous response that had everyone laughing.
With his trademark sense of humour, Shah Rukh smiled and replied, “You should have said this to me in private.” The witty remark sparked loud applause and laughter from the audience, turning the exchange into one of the most talked-about moments of the event.
The actor, however, quickly balanced the humour with a heartfelt message. Acknowledging the fan’s emotions, he said he understood that it was an expression of affection and was sure her husband would understand as well. Shah Rukh then added that he loved not only his fans but also their families, thanking everyone for the overwhelming support and affection they have shown him over the years.
The event itself was filled with celebration and nostalgia. Addressing the audience, Shah Rukh expressed his gratitude for the love he received in Mangaluru. He admitted that he had not expected such an overwhelming welcome and thanked the people of the coastal city for making him feel at home from the moment he landed at the airport.

The actor also spoke about his deep personal connection with Mangaluru. Although born in New Delhi, Shah Rukh revealed that the city holds a special place in his heart because he spent part of his early childhood there between 1965 and 1970, living with his grandfather Ifthikar Ahmed.
