Oppo K15 Launch Is Just Days Away… Company Reveals Massive 8,000mAh Battery, 50MP Cameras and More Before Debut
Ahead of its official unveiling in China, Oppo has confirmed the launch date, design, key specifications and colour options of the upcoming Oppo K15, leaving little to the imagination before its debut.
Beijing/New Delhi: Oppo has officially lifted the curtain on most of the details surrounding its upcoming Oppo K15, confirming the smartphone’s launch date while revealing its design, hardware specifications and colour variants ahead of the official announcement.
The new handset will join the Oppo K15 Pro and Oppo K15 Pro+, expanding the company’s K-series portfolio in China.
Oppo K15 Launch Date Confirmed
The company has announced that the Oppo K15 will be launched in China on July 24 at 10:00 AM local time (7:30 AM IST).
Ahead of the launch, Oppo has already opened pre-orders through its official online store, where the smartphone’s key features and configurations have also been listed.
The handset will initially be available in a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, with buyers getting two colour options:

Massive 8,000mAh Battery Takes Centre Stage
One of the biggest attractions of the Oppo K15 is its enormous 8,000mAh battery, making it one of the largest batteries seen in a mainstream smartphone.
The battery supports 80W wired fast charging, allowing users to recharge quickly despite the large capacity.
Oppo has also included bypass charging, a feature particularly useful for gamers as it supplies power directly to the device instead of continuously charging the battery, helping reduce heat generation during extended gaming sessions.
Additionally, the smartphone incorporates Oppo’s Glacier Battery Energy Gathering Chip, designed to improve battery efficiency and longevity.
MediaTek Processor and Advanced Cooling
Powering the Oppo K15 is the new MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Super processor.
According to Oppo, the chipset works alongside the company’s proprietary Tidal Engine, which is designed to optimize performance across gaming, multitasking and everyday usage.
To maintain stable temperatures, the smartphone will feature:

These cooling technologies are expected to help sustain peak performance during intensive workloads.
Display, Cameras and Durability
The Oppo K15 will feature a 6.59-inch flat display and comes with an IP69 rating, offering enhanced protection against dust and water.
On the camera front, Oppo is equipping the smartphone with a high-resolution setup that includes:
- 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS)
- 50MP ultra-wide camera
- 50MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls
The smartphone also supports dual-frequency GPS and triple-frequency BeiDou navigation, promising improved location accuracy.
Will It Launch in India?
While Oppo has confirmed the Chinese launch, the company has not yet announced whether the Oppo K15 will make its way to international markets, including India.
With most of the specifications already out in the open, the July 24 launch event is now expected to focus primarily on pricing, software features and future availability.
