‘200% Blockbuster’: Naga Vamsi Makes Bold Prediction for Suriya’s ‘Vishwanath & Sons’ Ahead of Release
The producer says his confidence has only grown after ‘Karuppu’s success, calling Suriya’s upcoming family drama a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
Following the blockbuster success of Suriya’s latest film ‘Karuppu’, expectations are soaring for his next release, ‘Vishwanath & Sons’. Adding to the excitement, producer Naga Vamsi has made a bold prediction, declaring that the upcoming romantic family drama is a “200 per cent blockbuster.”
The film, directed by Venky Atluri, marks Suriya’s return to the romance genre after a long gap and is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14.
Naga Vamsi Expresses Complete Confidence
Speaking in a recent interview, Naga Vamsi, who is producing the film under the Sithara Entertainments banner, said the success of ‘Karuppu’ has only strengthened his belief in ‘Vishwanath & Sons’.
The producer revealed that he has already watched the film and is convinced audiences will embrace it wholeheartedly.“My confidence has increased because I have seen the film, and it is a 200 per cent blockbuster. People will come and enjoy watching it without a second thought. It is a proper family movie,” he said.
His comments have further heightened anticipation surrounding the project, which is expected to be one of the major Telugu releases of the year.
What Is ‘Vishwanath & Sons’ About?
The film reportedly follows Sanjay Vishwanath, played by Suriya, an accomplished pistol shooter in his 40s who is determined to maintain his discipline and competitive edge.
His life takes an unexpected turn when Maddy, portrayed by Mamitha Baiju, enters his world.
Despite the significant age difference, Maddy develops feelings for Sanjay, setting the stage for an emotional love story that explores relationships, family values and personal transformation.
Interestingly, reports suggest that Sanjay Vishwanath is inspired by Suriya’s iconic character from ‘Ghajini’, though the makers have not officially confirmed any connection.

Beyond ‘Vishwanath & Sons’, Suriya has a packed schedule with two more high-profile projects.
The actor is set to collaborate with director Jithu Madhavan for ‘Suriya 47’ and with filmmaker TJ Gnanavel for ‘Suriya 48’, both of which are currently in development.
