Actress Kirti Kulhari has reportedly lost ₹2.43 lakh in a cyber fraud case after multiple unauthorized credit card transactions.

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Kirti Kulhari, best known for her roles in Pink, Uri: The Surgical Strike, and Mission Mangal, has reportedly become the latest victim of cyber fraud. According to a police complaint, unidentified fraudsters allegedly gained unauthorized access to her credit card details and siphoned off ₹2,43,853 through multiple transactions.

Based on the actress’s complaint, a case has been registered at Amboli Police Station in Mumbai, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

Suspicious Transaction Triggered the Alert

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the incident came to light while Kirti Kulhari was at Cinepolis, near Fun Republic Mall in Andheri West, when she received a bank alert regarding an international transaction.

The notification indicated a payment of USD 2,525 made through Aeromexico Airlines using her credit card.

Realising the transaction was unauthorized, the actress immediately contacted her bank.

Bank Detected Multiple Unauthorised Transactions

After reviewing her account, bank officials reportedly informed Kirti that four unauthorized transactions had been processed using her credit card.

To prevent further financial loss, the bank promptly blocked the credit card.

According to the complaint, the total amount lost in the fraudulent transactions was ₹2,43,853.

Password Was Never Shared

In her statement to the police, Kirti Kulhari reportedly clarified that she had never shared her credit card password or confidential banking details with anyone.

Investigators suspect the fraud may have been carried out through malware, spyware, or another form of digital compromise affecting either her mobile phone or payment credentials.

Police officials are now examining bank transaction records, digital footprints, and reference numbers to identify those responsible.

The incident once again highlights the growing threat of online financial fraud and cybercrime targeting individuals across India.

  • Enable instant SMS and email alerts.
  • Avoid clicking on suspicious links.
  • Install trusted security updates.
  • Report unauthorized transactions immediately to banks and law enforcement agencies.
