Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi has finally addressed the growing speculation surrounding her wedding with actor and acting coach Rachit Singh. While rumours about the couple tying the knot have been circulating for months, Huma made it clear that marriage is not on her immediate agenda.
Speaking during a recent interaction with HT City, the actress responded with humour when asked about her wedding plans.”You and my mum have the same questions! I don’t have an answer to when the wedding is going to happen. Shaadi jab honi hogi tab ho jayegi; I have a lot of work to do. This is a very busy year and right now, I am just focusing on that,” Huma said.
Huma Qureshi and Rachit Singh’s Relationship
Huma Qureshi is currently dating Rachit Singh, an actor and acting coach. The couple have often been spotted together at restaurants, film events and outings around Bandra, Mumbai, sparking widespread interest among fans and the paparazzi.
The duo also shared screen space in the thriller Baby Do Die Do, further fueling curiosity about their relationship. Huma had previously posted a heartfelt message for Rachit on social media, a gesture that many fans described as the official confirmation or “hard launch” of their romance.

Rather than discussing marriage, Huma emphasized that her priority remains her professional commitments. With multiple projects lined up this year, the actress said she is fully focused on work and is not rushing into wedding plans.
Her candid response has put to rest the recent speculation suggesting that the couple could be planning to marry soon.
Huma Opens Up About Becoming a Producer
On the professional front, Huma Qureshi recently stepped into film production with Baby Do Die Do. Reflecting on the experience, she described producing a film as both challenging and rewarding.
“It is a high-risk, high-reward business. It is exciting because you get to be the creator and keeper of your IP. I feel every creative person should produce a film once to understand the entire process,” she said.
The actress explained that while actors mainly focus on their performances, producers shoulder responsibility for every aspect of a project from creative decisions to logistical challenges.
“As an actor, your job is largely in front of the camera. A producer, however, is responsible for everything needed to make a project happen. Sometimes, even somebody’s temperament becomes your problem,” she added.
With a packed work schedule and new responsibilities as a producer, Huma has made it clear that her career remains her top priority for now even if fans continue to wait for wedding bells.
