Speaking about the decision, Dan Hunt, a member of the FIFA World Cup Organising Committee and owner of FC Dallas, explained that football presents unique challenges for referees.
He noted that matches often produce unpredictable situations, making it extremely difficult for only a handful of officials to monitor every incident across a large football pitch. According to Hunt, having VAR officials inside the stadium could strengthen coordination and help officials respond more effectively to crucial moments.
