Diljit Dosanjh shared an Instagram message supporting protesting students, saying he is prepared to face criticism for speaking out once again.

Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has publicly expressed support for students participating in the ongoing CJP-led protest, urging authorities to engage with their concerns rather than dismiss them.

Sharing a message on his Instagram Stories, Diljit reacted to reports of action against student protesters, describing the developments as unfortunate and calling for a more compassionate approach.

In his post, he appealed to the authorities to listen to the students’ demands, adding that “the voice of the people is the voice of God.”


‘Students should not be treated this way’

In his statement, Diljit Dosanjh said the treatment of students had deeply saddened him.

The singer stressed that young people raising their concerns deserve to be heard and requested the authorities to consider their demands through dialogue.

His message quickly gained attention on social media, where supporters praised his decision to speak up, while others debated the role of celebrities in public issues.


Diljit recalls criticism after the farmers’ protest

Diljit also reflected on the criticism he says he faced after supporting the farmers’ protest.
