Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to make his scripted acting debut in the football drama Day 1s, alongside Thierry Henry and actor Damian Lewis.

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly preparing to take on a new challenge beyond the football pitch, with the Portuguese superstar set to make his first acting appearance in a scripted television drama. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has joined the upcoming football series Day 1s as an executive producer and is also expected to appear on screen.

The project marks another major step in Ronaldo’s expanding business and entertainment portfolio as he continues his playing career with Al-Nassr and the Portugal national team.

Ronaldo and Thierry Henry Join Forces

According to reports, Day 1s will feature former Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry, while acclaimed British actor Damian Lewis, known for his roles in Homeland and Billions, will play the lead character, football agent Stanley Dalton.

The drama revolves around the fictional world of elite football agents, offering viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the high-pressure negotiations, transfers, and personalities that shape modern British football.

Filming has reportedly already begun at Barnet FC’s The Hive Stadium in north-west London, where Thierry Henry has been spotted during production. Cristiano Ronaldo is also expected to make a special appearance in the series alongside his responsibilities behind the camera.

A New Chapter Beyond Football

Although Ronaldo has appeared in commercials, documentaries, and video games throughout his career, Day 1s is expected to be his first acting role in a scripted television production.

The series is based on an original concept by football agent Darren Dein, who also serves as an executive producer. Rather than focusing on real footballers, the story centres on fictional agent Stanley Dalton, exploring the business side of professional football through drama and fictional characters.

Produced by Ronaldo’s Film Studio

The show is being developed by UR•Marv, the independent film studio Cristiano Ronaldo launched in 2025 with Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn.

According to reports, Ronaldo and Vaughn have already collaborated on two action films, with a third project currently in development.

Speaking when the studio was launched, Ronaldo described filmmaking as an exciting new direction for his career.”This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures in business,” Ronaldo had said.

Still Focused on Football

Despite venturing into entertainment, Ronaldo remains fully committed to his football career.

The Portuguese icon recently extended his contract with Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr until 2027, ensuring he will continue competing at the highest level while simultaneously pursuing opportunities in television and film.

With Day 1s, Ronaldo adds yet another dimension to an already remarkable career, combining his global football legacy with a growing presence in the entertainment industry. If reports are confirmed, fans will soon see the football legend not only producing a television drama but also stepping in front of the camera for his first scripted acting role.
