Barron Trump ‘Panicked’ After Charlie Kirk shooting? New book claims he called Donald Trump directly…
A new political book reveals an emotional moment between Barron Trump and his father after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot — but the account has sparked debate.
A new political book has brought Barron Trump into the spotlight, claiming the youngest son of Donald Trump was the first to alert his father about the shocking shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The revelation appears in Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump, written by journalists Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan. According to excerpts from the book, Barron reportedly bypassed White House aides and directly called his father in a state of panic after learning about the attack.
The book claims Barron, who was said to be a fan of Charlie Kirk, feared that his father’s life could also be in danger, especially after the assassination attempts Donald Trump survived during the 2024 campaign.
According to the reported exchange, Trump attempted to calm his son during the call, telling him to relax while dealing with the news himself.
The incident reportedly took place in September 2025, when Charlie Kirk was shot at Utah Valley University while addressing a crowd of nearly 3,000 students during one of his public appearances. Reports later confirmed that Kirk died from the attack.

Authorities later charged Tyler James Robinson, the alleged shooter, with multiple offences including aggravated murder and obstruction of justice.
However, the book’s version of events has raised questions.

Some previous accounts had suggested that JD Vance was the one who informed Trump inside the Oval Office. The new claim now suggests Barron may have been the first to alert his father, while official confirmation came later through White House channels.
Beyond this emotional episode, the book also highlights Barron’s growing influence within the Trump family’s business world.
The 20-year-old has reportedly played a role in the family’s cryptocurrency ventures and was listed as a co-founder of World Liberty Foundation alongside his father and brothers in 2024.
Reports suggest the Trump family’s crypto business has generated enormous wealth, with Donald Trump now embracing digital assets despite once publicly criticizing Bitcoin.
While Barron has largely stayed away from public politics, this latest revelation offers a rare glimpse into his close relationship with his father — and the private fear that political violence may have brought into the Trump family.
