The Nampally Court has directed actor Allu Arjun to appear in person as investigations continue into the Sandhya Theatre stampede that led to a fan’s death during the release of ‘Pushpa 2’.
A fresh development has emerged in the ongoing investigation into the tragic Sandhya Theatre stampede case linked to the release of ‘Pushpa 2’, with Telugu superstar Allu Arjun receiving a court summons from the Nampally Court in Hyderabad.
According to reports, the court has directed the actor to appear in person on June 22 as part of proceedings related to the case, which stems from the crowd surge incident that reportedly resulted in the death of a fan and injuries to several others.
Court Issues Summons to Multiple Accused
The summons issued by the Nampally Court are not limited to Allu Arjun alone. Reports indicate that notices have also been served to 19 other accused individuals connected to the incident.
Investigators from the Chikkadpally Police have reportedly named Allu Arjun as Accused No. 11 (A11) in the case.
Meanwhile, the management and representatives of Sandhya Theatre have been listed as Accused Nos. 1 to 10 (A1–A10), placing the theatre administration at the centre of the investigation into crowd management and safety arrangements during the film’s release.
The Incident That Sparked the Case
The case is linked to the massive turnout witnessed during the release of ‘Pushpa 2’, one of the most anticipated films in recent Indian cinema.

The overwhelming crowd gathered outside the theatre reportedly led to chaos and a stampede-like situation, resulting in a tragic loss of life and raising serious questions about security measures, crowd control, and event management protocols.
Authorities subsequently launched an investigation to determine whether adequate precautions had been taken to ensure public safety.
Focus on Accountability
The inclusion of both theatre officials and the actor in the case highlights the broader effort by investigators to establish accountability for the events that unfolded during the screening.

While legal proceedings are still underway, the court’s latest move signals that the investigation has entered a crucial stage.
As of now, neither Allu Arjun nor his legal team has publicly commented in detail on the latest summons.
A High-Profile Case Under Public Spotlight
Given Allu Arjun’s immense popularity across India and internationally following the success of the ‘Pushpa’ franchise, the case has attracted significant public and media attention.
The actor remains one of the biggest names in Indian cinema, and developments surrounding the case continue to be closely monitored by fans, industry observers, and legal experts.
The upcoming hearing is expected to provide greater clarity regarding the progress of the investigation and the legal path ahead.
For now, all eyes remain on the Nampally Court as the proceedings move forward in one of the most closely watched entertainment-related legal cases of the year.
