‘Pushpa 2’ Stampede Case: Allu Arjun appears before hyderabad court virtually; Hearing adjourned to July 29
The Telugu superstar attended court proceedings via video conferencing after being summoned in the 2024 Pushpa 2 premiere stampede case that claimed the life of a woman.
Telugu superstar Allu Arjun on Monday appeared virtually before a Hyderabad court in connection with the Pushpa 2 premiere stampede case, which resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman and left her young son injured in December 2024.
The court took up the matter after the Hyderabad Police filed a chargesheet against 23 accused in the case and subsequently adjourned the hearing until July 29.
Court Receives Chargesheet Copies
During the proceedings, copies of the chargesheet were handed over to the accused.
While most of those named in the case were present, a couple of the accused did not attend the hearing.
Allu Arjun joined the proceedings virtually and marked his attendance through video conferencing, complying with the court’s summons.
The actor had also appeared virtually before the court on June 22 following an earlier direction.
Allu Arjun Named as Accused No. 11
According to the chargesheet, the owner, partners, manager, lower balcony in-charge, and gatekeeper of Sandhya Theatre have been listed as Accused No. 1 to 10.
Allu Arjun has been named as Accused No. 11 in the case.

The chargesheet also names other individuals connected to the theatre and security arrangements during the premiere.
The Stampede Incident
The tragic incident occurred on December 4, 2024, during the premiere screening of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad.
A massive crowd had gathered outside the theatre to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, leading to a stampede in which a 35-year-old woman lost her life, while her eight-year-old son sustained injuries.

Following the incident, the Hyderabad Police registered a case against Allu Arjun, members of his security team, and the theatre management under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on a complaint filed by the deceased woman’s family.
Arrest and Bail
On December 13, 2024, Allu Arjun was arrested by the Hyderabad Police in connection with the case.
He was released the following day after the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail.
The actor was subsequently granted regular bail, allowing him to remain out of custody while legal proceedings continue.
Financial Support for the Victim’s Family
Following the unfortunate incident, Allu Arjun and the makers of Pushpa 2 announced financial assistance for the deceased woman’s family.
Support was also extended for the treatment and welfare of her injured son.
As the legal process moves forward, the case is scheduled to come up for its next hearing on July 29, when the court is expected to continue examining the matter.
