Aamir Khan Confirms July 5 Wedding With Gauri Spratt… But His ‘Very Simple’ Plan Is Surprising Everyone
No lavish Bollywood setup, no grand guest list — Aamir Khan says his third marriage to Gauri Spratt will be a quiet, intimate affair at home.
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has officially confirmed that he will marry Gauri Spratt on July 5, 2026, putting an end to months of speculation surrounding their relationship.
But unlike the grand celebrity weddings Bollywood is known for, Aamir has made it clear that this celebration will be strikingly different.
In a recent interview, the actor revealed that the wedding will be “very simple” — a private registered marriage at home with only close family members and a handful of friends in attendance.
“It will be a very simple registered marriage at home, with just both the families and really close friends. We both want to keep it very basic,” Aamir said.
The announcement has surprised fans, especially considering Aamir’s stature in the film industry, where extravagant weddings often dominate headlines.
What makes the wedding even more intriguing is the mystery around the guest list. It remains unclear whether Aamir’s close industry friends like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will attend the intimate ceremony.
Who is Gauri Spratt?
While Aamir Khan is one of India’s biggest film stars, Gauri Spratt has largely stayed away from the limelight.
Based in Bengaluru, Gauri works in the wellness and beauty industry and comes from a family with a fascinating historical background. She is the granddaughter of Philip Spratt, a British intellectual and writer who moved to India in the 1920s and later settled here, becoming known for his political and philosophical writings.
Gauri also has a son, Quinn, from her previous marriage.
Why Now?
Speaking to Variety India, Aamir opened up about why he and Gauri decided to make their relationship official now.

“Yes, that is true. But now we both feel we are ready to take our relationship to the next level,” he said.
The actor described marriage as a natural progression in their bond, revealing that the couple had been together for some time before publicly acknowledging their relationship earlier this year.
Their relationship became one of the most talked-about topics in Bollywood after Aamir introduced Gauri to the public, sparking widespread curiosity among fans and media alike.
Aamir Khan’s Journey Through Marriage
This will mark Aamir Khan’s third marriage.

His first marriage was with Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children — Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. Despite their separation, the two have maintained a respectful and cordial relationship.
Aamir later married filmmaker Kiran Rao. Their separation in 2021 after 16 years of marriage made headlines, but the duo continues to co-parent their son Azad Rao Khan and occasionally collaborate professionally.
Their recent project Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao, showed that their personal split did not affect their professional bond.
As July 5 approaches, fans are now eager to see how this quiet chapter unfolds in Aamir Khan’s life — proving once again that sometimes the biggest stories come without the biggest celebrations.
