The 15-year-old batting sensation admitted that the past few months have been an emotional roller coaster, but believes staying committed to his process is the key to bouncing back.

A Tough Introduction to International Cricket

After creating headlines with his remarkable performances at the Under-19 World Cup, Sooryavanshi made his senior debut during India’s tour of England.

However, the transition proved difficult. The youngster managed scores of 14, 13 and 15 in three innings as India endured a disappointing 0-4 series defeat.

He also found it challenging to counter the pace and experience of Jofra Archer, who dismissed him twice during the series.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza has called on fans and experts not to judge Sooryavanshi too quickly.

Describing the teenager as a potential “generational talent,” Raza said it is unfair to criticise a 15-year-old after just a handful of international matches.

He praised Sooryavanshi’s rapid rise through the ranks and stressed that the youngster’s development will depend on how carefully he is managed by the Indian team.

According to Raza, players with such extraordinary talent are rare, and giving them the right guidance is crucial for long-term success.
