Twist in Ravi Mohan house theft case: Accused arrested, Confesses to stealing Rs 2.5 Lakh
Days after shocking claims of theft and alleged unlawful detention surfaced, police have now arrested the accused in the Ravi Mohan residence theft case, bringing new clarity to the controversy.
Chennai: A fresh development has emerged in the theft case linked to actor Ravi Mohan’s residence in Injambakkam, as police have arrested the accused who allegedly stole Rs 2.5 lakh from the actor’s home.
The arrest comes days after the actor filed a formal complaint at the Neelankarai Police Station, triggering widespread speculation and online reports surrounding the incident.
The controversy first surfaced over ten days ago when Ravi Mohan’s manager approached the police with a complaint involving two domestic workers and a minor boy employed at the actor’s house.
Initial reports claimed that the three individuals were allegedly being prevented from leaving the premises, raising concerns over unlawful confinement.
However, sources later revealed that Ravi Mohan’s side had suspected the workers of theft and was questioning them over the missing money. Police reportedly stepped in and reminded those involved that private detention or interrogation is illegal, regardless of suspicion.

As the case gained attention, social media was flooded with claims suggesting a diamond necklace worth Rs 10 lakh and Rs 40,000 cash had been stolen from the residence.
But with the latest police action, those reports now appear to have been misleading.
Officials have confirmed that the real accused has been identified and arrested, and during interrogation, the individual allegedly admitted to stealing Rs 2.5 lakh from the actor’s home.

Authorities have stated that the investigation is still ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge in the coming days.
While the legal matter unfolds, Ravi Mohan remains occupied with a packed professional schedule.
The actor is currently working on his directorial debut, An Ordinary Man, starring Yogi Babu in the lead.
He has also joined the sets of Benz, which is part of the expanding Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
Apart from that, Ravi will soon be seen sharing screen space with Raghava Lawrence and Nivin Pauly in a project directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan.
His upcoming lineup also includes Karathey Babu, directed by Ganesh K Babu, which is scheduled for release in August.
Despite the off-screen controversy, Ravi Mohan’s career momentum shows no signs of slowing down.
