Pulkit Samrat Reveals Salman Khan's 'No Guarantee of Next Friday' Advice Before Debut
Pulkit Samrat recalls Salman Khan's memorable advice before his Bollywood debut, saying the superstar taught him not to fear the uncertainty of Friday box office results.

Pulkit Samrat has opened up about one of the most memorable conversations of his early career, revealing how Salman Khan’s honest advice helped him deal with the pressure of making his Bollywood debut.

Speaking in a recent interview, Pulkit recalled the nervousness he experienced before the release of his first film, ‘Bittoo Boss’ in 2012. Like many newcomers, he was anxious about how audiences and critics would respond to both the film and his performance. However, a candid conversation with Salman Khan changed his perspective completely.

According to Pulkit, Salman looked at him and said, “I am Salman Khan. Even I don’t have the guarantee of my next Friday. So, who do you think you are? What are you going to achieve by stressing about it?”

The straightforward advice left a lasting impact on the actor. Pulkit said he immediately realised that if a superstar with decades of success couldn’t predict a film’s fate at the box office, there was little point in worrying about things beyond his control. Instead, he decided to focus on giving his best and letting the audience decide.

Beyond that memorable conversation, Pulkit also praised Salman’s extraordinary dedication to cinema. He described the superstar as someone who lives and breathes films every single day, constantly thinking about scripts, characters, action sequences and ways to entertain audiences.

Pulkit said watching Salman’s relentless commitment inspired him to work even harder. He explained that if he hoped to achieve even half of what Salman has accomplished in the industry, he would need to put in several times more effort and remain fully committed to his craft.

The actor also reflected on the unpredictable nature of the film business, noting that success in Bollywood cannot be guaranteed regardless of an actor’s popularity. He believes Salman’s advice continues to remind him to stay grounded and concentrate on the work rather than the outcome.

On the personal front, Pulkit was previously married to Shweta Rohira, who is known as Salman Khan’s rakhi sister. The couple parted ways after a year of marriage. Pulkit later found love with actress Kriti Kharbanda, and the two tied the knot in 2024 after being in a relationship for five years.

Professionally, Pulkit was recently seen in the Netflix sports drama series ‘Glory’, where his performance received positive feedback from viewers and critics alike. He will next appear in ‘Suswagatam Khushaamadeed’ opposite Isabelle Kaif. Although the film was initially expected to release in 2025, its release has been delayed, with a new date yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is preparing for his upcoming war drama ‘Maatrubhumi’, where he will portray an Indian Army Colonel leading his soldiers in a historic battle. The film’s release has been postponed, and an updated release date is awaited. The superstar has also confirmed another major project with producer Dil Raju and director Vamshi Paidipally, co-starring Nayanthara, which is currently scheduled for an Eid 2027 release.

Pulkit’s story serves as a reminder that in an industry driven by uncertainty, confidence comes not from guarantees but from dedication, perseverance and faith in one’s work.
