Porsche 911 GT3 Earl’s Court 51 Edition Launched: Only 51 Units Worldwide
The limited-edition Porsche 911 GT3 Earl’s Court 51 Edition celebrates the brand’s historic 1951 debut in Britain with bespoke styling and classic-inspired details.

Porsche has introduced a highly exclusive collector’s model in the United Kingdom with the launch of the 911 GT3 Earl’s Court 51 Edition, a limited-production sports car designed to honor one of the brand’s most significant moments in history.

Restricted to only 51 units globally, the special edition commemorates Porsche’s debut at the 1951 Earl’s Court Motor Show in London, where the legendary Porsche 356 Coupe was first showcased to British audiences.

The number “51” holds dual significance, representing both the year of Porsche’s historic UK introduction and the total number of vehicles that will be produced.

A Modern Tribute to a Classic Icon

The special edition is based on the latest 992.2-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Touring, but its design philosophy draws inspiration from the original Porsche 356 that captivated visitors at Earl’s Court more than seven decades ago.

To reflect that heritage, Porsche has finished the vehicle in an exclusive Earls Court Green Metallic paint shade, a color developed specifically for this commemorative model.

The project was jointly created by Porsche Cars Great Britain and Porsche’s bespoke customization division, Porsche Sonderwunsch, based in Stuttgart.

Rather than selecting a more aggressive model such as the 911 Turbo or 911 GT3 RS, Porsche chose the GT3 Touring as the foundation for the Earl’s Court Edition, emphasizing elegance and timeless design over outright visual aggression.

Distinctive Exterior Styling

The limited-edition sports car features several exclusive design enhancements that distinguish it from the standard GT3 Touring.

These include:

  • Silver-finished mirror caps
  • Silver bonnet stripe
  • Silver door handles
  • Special two-tone green-and-silver alloy wheels
  • Exclusive Earl’s Court 51 badging

The result is a sophisticated appearance that blends classic British-inspired styling with Porsche’s modern performance-focused design language.

Luxury Meets Heritage Inside the Cabin

The interior of the 911 GT3 Earl’s Court 51 Edition has been crafted to evoke the charm of vintage Porsche models while offering contemporary comfort.

The cabin features adaptive sports seats upholstered in a combination of premium leather and corduroy, finished in elegant beige tones with contrasting green piping.

Several bespoke elements further enhance exclusivity, including:

  • Special dashboard branding
  • Illuminated door sills
  • Wood trim accents inspired by classic Porsche interiors

In a nod to the original 1951 Porsche 356 Coupe, the car also retains a practical 2+2 seating configuration, balancing heritage and usability.

Naturally Aspirated Power Remains

Under the hood, Porsche has preserved one of the GT3’s most celebrated features — its naturally aspirated engine.

The Earl’s Court Edition is powered by a 4.0-litre flat-six engine producing 507 bhp and 450 Nm of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox, offering a purist driving experience increasingly rare in modern performance cars.

According to Porsche, the special edition can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 312 km/h.

Public Debut at Silverstone

The Porsche 911 GT3 Earl’s Court 51 Edition is priced at £251,951 (approximately ₹2.76 crore before taxes and duties).

The model is set to make its first public appearance at Porsche’s Sunstede Festival at Silverstone, where it will be displayed alongside a meticulously restored 1951 Porsche 356 Coupe — the very vehicle that inspired its creation.

For Porsche enthusiasts and collectors, the Earl’s Court 51 Edition represents more than just another limited-run sports car. It is a celebration of the brand’s journey from a small European manufacturer to one of the world’s most respected names in automotive performance.
