Maruti Brezza Facelift Coming Soon? Turbo Engine, ADAS & Bigger Screen Could Change Everything
Expected to launch in July 2026, the updated Maruti Brezza may get a new turbo-petrol engine, advanced safety technology, and a significantly upgraded cabin.
The compact SUV segment in India is about to get even more competitive as the Maruti Suzuki Brezza prepares for what could be its biggest update since the current-generation model arrived. Industry reports suggest that the popular SUV is likely to receive a comprehensive facelift around July 2026, bringing a fresh design, a new turbocharged engine option, and several premium features that could make it more appealing to modern buyers.
For customers considering a compact SUV purchase in the coming months, the upcoming update could be worth waiting for, especially as the changes are expected to go far beyond a simple cosmetic makeover.
A New Turbo-Petrol Engine Could Be the Biggest Highlight
One of the most talked-about additions is an expected 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The new powertrain is likely to generate around 98.6 hp and 147.6 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
If introduced, this would mark the first turbocharged petrol engine in the Brezza lineup. The engine is expected to offer improved low-end performance and a more engaging driving experience compared to naturally aspirated alternatives.

Meanwhile, the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is likely to continue in the range. The current motor produces approximately 103 hp and 137 Nm of torque and has been a reliable choice for buyers looking for a balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
Another notable upgrade could arrive in the CNG variant. Reports indicate that Maruti Suzuki may introduce an underbody-mounted CNG tank setup, freeing up valuable boot space that is currently occupied by the tank in existing models.
Premium Cabin Upgrades on the Cards
The cabin is also expected to receive a significant refresh. Sources indicate that the current infotainment system could be replaced with a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen unit supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The dashboard design may be revised with improved materials, updated upholstery, and fresh trim finishes aimed at enhancing the overall premium feel.

Perhaps the most important feature addition could be Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). If introduced, the Brezza would join a growing list of SUVs offering technologies such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and collision mitigation features, bringing it closer to premium rivals in the segment.
Exterior Design to Get a Sharper Look
On the outside, the facelifted Brezza is expected to feature a redesigned front grille, updated bumper styling, and revised fog lamp housings. A thicker silver-finished faux skid plate and newly designed alloy wheels could further enhance its road presence.
While the visual changes may make the SUV look fresher and more modern, the underlying platform and dimensions are expected to remain unchanged. This suggests the upcoming model will be a mid-cycle refresh rather than an all-new generation.
Launch Timeline and Expected Pricing
Several industry reports point towards a July 2026 launch timeline for the updated Brezza. The move is expected to form part of Maruti Suzuki’s broader strategy to strengthen its SUV portfolio, which already includes models such as the Fronx and Grand Vitara.
The current Brezza is priced between ₹8.26 lakh and ₹14.04 lakh (ex-showroom). Given the expected addition of a turbocharged engine, ADAS technology, and feature-rich upgrades, a price increase appears likely. The turbo-petrol variants, in particular, may command a premium over the existing range.
For buyers who can afford to wait a little longer, the upcoming Brezza facelift could offer a more technology-packed and performance-oriented package in one of India’s most competitive SUV categories.
