Ishqnama Box Office Day 15: Shehnaaz Gill and Jayy Randhawa’s Punjabi romantic drama is nearing the ₹10 crore India net mark, but declining collections have put its theatrical success prospects under pressure.

The box office journey of Ishqnama is becoming increasingly difficult as the Shehnaaz Gill and Jayy Randhawa starrer struggles to maintain momentum in its third week. After two weeks in theatres, the Punjabi romantic period drama is now just a few lakhs away from the ₹10 crore mark, but its declining daily collections have made the film’s overall box office prospects look increasingly challenging.

According to the latest estimates, Ishqnama earned around ₹21 lakh net on Day 15 at the Indian box office. The figure represents a noticeable drop from the approximately ₹35 lakh it collected on the previous Thursday.

With this addition, the film’s India net collection has reached around ₹9.61 crore after 15 days. Its estimated India gross stands at approximately ₹11.33 crore.

Ishqnama’s ₹10 Crore Milestone Is Finally Within Reach

The immediate target for Ishqnama is straightforward: cross the ₹10 crore India net milestone.

The film needs roughly ₹39 lakh more to reach the mark. On paper, that may not appear to be a difficult target. However, the problem is the film’s current pace.

With collections falling into the ₹20-lakh range, the movie will need a stronger weekend hold to comfortably cross ₹10 crore. The arrival of competing Punjabi releases, including Yaar Jigree Kasooti Degree and The Great Punjab Robbery, could make that task even tougher.

Can Ishqnama Recover Its ₹20 Crore Budget?

This is where the picture becomes more complicated.

Ishqnama reportedly carries a budget of around ₹20 crore. Its current India net collection of ₹9.61 crore means that theatrical earnings in the domestic market are still well below the reported investment.

The film has recovered roughly 48% of its reported budget through India net collections, based on the figures available so far. Even if it crosses ₹10 crore, there would still be a significant gap between its theatrical India net earnings and the reported production cost.

That makes a conventional theatrical success verdict increasingly difficult at this stage.

The Top 3 Punjabi Films Goal Also Looks Difficult

Before the slowdown became this pronounced, Ishqnama had another interesting target on its radar.

The film was looking to surpass Ishqan De Lekhe, which reportedly stands at around ₹11.89 crore, to push into the top three highest-grossing Punjabi films of 2026.

However, with the film currently at ₹9.61 crore after 15 days, it needs another ₹2.28 crore just to cross that benchmark.

Given its current daily pace, achieving that number would require a substantial improvement in collections over the coming days.

Ishqnama Box Office: Week-Wise Breakdown

The film’s estimated India net collections currently stand as follows:

  • Week 1: ₹5.70 crore
  • Week 2: ₹3.70 crore
  • Day 15: ₹21 lakh
  • Total after 15 days: ₹9.61 crore

The numbers tell the story clearly. Ishqnama had a stronger first week, but its momentum weakened considerably during the second week, and the opening day of its third week has offered little sign of a major turnaround.

The upcoming weekend could still provide Ishqnama with an opportunity to improve its final theatrical tally. Punjabi films can sometimes benefit from strong regional word-of-mouth, particularly when competition is manageable.

But at this point, the film needs more than just a small weekend jump. It needs sustained collections to make a meaningful difference to its final box office result.

For now, ₹10 crore is the immediate milestone, while the reported ₹20 crore budget makes the road to a conventional theatrical success verdict considerably steeper.

Box office figures are estimates compiled from publicly available trade and tracking data. Actual collections may vary depending on final producer, distributor or trade figures.
