Bobby Deol’s secret identity in ‘Alpha’ delivers one of the biggest twists in the YRF Spy Universe so far.

Alpha’ has finally hit theatres and while the film delivers high-octane action, espionage thrills, and emotional drama, it is Bobby Deol’s character that has left audiences stunned.

Directed as a key chapter in the expanding YRF Spy Universe, the film starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari keeps its biggest secret hidden until the final act — and it changes the entire narrative.

For most of the film, Bobby Deol appears as Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat, an enigmatic and powerful figure deeply involved in the secretive Alpha serum project.

Initially portrayed as a complex but seemingly loyal officer, Fateh works alongside Sita (Alia Bhatt) and Doctor Varghese to develop the serum despite government resistance.

Operating from hidden locations in Cherrapunji and Khar, Rajasthan, Fateh trains Sita into becoming a lethal assassin and uses her as his strongest weapon.

For much of the story, audiences are led to believe that Fateh’s questionable methods are simply part of his larger mission.

But the climax flips everything.

Bobby Deol’s real identity revealed

In the film’s most shocking moment, it is revealed that Fateh is not an Indian officer at all.

His real identity is Major Zarrar Khan, a covert Pakistani spy who infiltrated India’s armed forces and slowly climbed the ranks to become a trusted figure.

His actual mission? To steal the perfected version of the Alpha serum and create a new generation of super-soldiers for Pakistan.

The revelation raises the emotional stakes instantly.

It becomes clear that Fateh never truly cared for Sita. Instead, he needed her because she was an Alpha by birth, and her brain cells were the key to perfecting the serum — even if it meant leaving her permanently damaged.

This betrayal deeply shatters Sita and sets the stage for the explosive finale.

The final showdown

As the truth comes out, Sita joins forces with her twin sister Durga (Sharvari) and their biological father, Colonel Vikrant Kaul, played by Anil Kapoor, who is also the chief of R&AW.

Together, they launch a mission to destroy the entire Alpha facility and shut down Operation Odyssey once and for all.

The climax becomes both an action spectacle and an emotional confrontation, as Sita faces the man who raised and trained her.

In a poetic twist, she defeats Fateh using the very skills he taught her.

Fateh is eventually killed, bringing closure to the mission.

However, the film ends on a larger note — with Sita and Durga stepping into their new identities as spies, hinting at their return in future YRF Spy Universe projects.

Fans are already speculating that their next appearance could involve a crossover with Tiger, Pathaan, and Kabir, setting up an even bigger spy saga ahead.

Once again, Bobby Deol proves why he has become one of Bollywood’s most compelling villains in recent years — and in ‘Alpha’, his final reveal may be one of the biggest twists in the YRF franchise so far.
