Allu Arjun's upcoming pan-India film Raaka, directed by Atlee, is reportedly being planned as a two-part cinematic spectacle, though an official announcement is still awaited.

One of Indian cinema’s most anticipated pan-India projects, Allu Arjun’s Raaka, is reportedly set for a major change in its release strategy. According to the latest industry reports, the makers are considering releasing the film in two separate parts, allowing the ambitious action spectacle to unfold on a much larger scale.

Although there has been no official confirmation from the filmmakers, the reported decision has already generated significant buzz among fans eagerly awaiting the actor’s next big-screen outing after the massive success of Pushpa.

A two-part release reportedly under discussion

Reports claim that director Atlee, lead actor Allu Arjun, and producer Sun Pictures recently held discussions regarding the film’s release strategy. The team is believed to have agreed that splitting the film into two parts would allow them to present its expansive story, large-scale action sequences, and visual effects without compromising the narrative.

If the reports prove accurate, Raaka will join a growing list of Indian blockbusters adopting the multi-part format to deliver grand cinematic experiences.

OTT deal reportedly yet to be finalised

Apart from creative considerations, reports also suggest that the film’s digital streaming rights are yet to be finalised.

According to industry reports, the makers and leading OTT platforms have not reached an agreement on the valuation of the film’s digital rights. The reported shift to a two-part release could influence future negotiations, distribution plans, and overall revenue strategy.

However, the production house has not officially commented on these reports.

Shooting expected to wrap up by the end of 2026

Production on Raaka is progressing steadily, with the team reportedly aiming to complete the filming of both parts before the end of 2026.

Once principal photography is completed, the makers are expected to announce the official release schedule for both installments.

Meanwhile, director Atlee is likely to focus on the film’s extensive post-production work, which is expected to involve large-scale visual effects and technical enhancements.

Star-studded cast raises expectations

The film features an impressive ensemble cast led by Allu Arjun, alongside Deepika Padukone, Rashmika Mandanna, Mrunal Thakur, and Janhvi Kapoor in pivotal roles.

With multiple leading stars sharing the screen, Raaka is already being described as one of the most ambitious Indian films currently in production.

What’s next for Allu Arjun?

Following the completion of Raaka, Allu Arjun is expected to begin work on his next project with acclaimed filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The upcoming film is currently being referred to by its working title, AA23 (LK07).

For now, however, fans are eagerly waiting for an official announcement from Sun Pictures regarding Raaka’s release plans.

Until then, the reported two-part strategy remains an industry buzz, but if confirmed, it could make Raaka one of the biggest cinematic events in Indian cinema over the coming years.
