The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 combines classic design inspiration with modern electric technology, offering a claimed range of 154 km and a top speed of 115 km/h.

Royal Enfield has officially started deliveries of its highly anticipated Flying Flea C6, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey into electric mobility. The motorcycle manufacturer, known globally for its iconic retro-styled bikes, is now entering a new era with its first-ever electric motorcycle.

After unveiling the Flying Flea C6 earlier this year, the company has begun handing over units to customers in Bengaluru, while simultaneously expanding a dedicated support and service ecosystem tailored specifically for electric vehicle owners.

A Historic Moment for Royal Enfield

The launch of the Flying Flea C6 represents one of the biggest transformations in Royal Enfield’s history.

Inspired by the legendary Flying Flea motorcycle used during World War II, the new electric model combines vintage-inspired styling with futuristic engineering. Unlike the brand’s traditional petrol-powered motorcycles, the Flying Flea C6 adopts a compact and minimalist design focused on urban mobility.

The motorcycle features an exposed frame, a distinctive girder-style front suspension setup, a floating seat, and a removable pillion seat, creating a unique visual identity that sets it apart from other electric bikes currently available in India.

Price Options: Battery Purchase or Subscription

Royal Enfield is offering the Flying Flea C6 through two ownership models.

Customers can opt for the Battery as a Service (BaaS) program, which lowers the upfront purchase cost to Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

For buyers who prefer complete ownership, the fully battery-equipped version is priced at Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

This flexible pricing strategy is aimed at making electric mobility more accessible while reducing concerns around battery ownership and long-term maintenance costs.

Packed With Modern Features

Despite its retro appearance, the Flying Flea C6 is loaded with advanced technology designed for modern riders.

Some of the standout features include:

  • All-LED lighting system
  • Google-powered onboard navigation
  • Cornering ABS
  • Traction Control System
  • Wireless smartphone charging
  • Multiple ride modes, including Sport and Individual modes

These features position the motorcycle as a premium urban electric bike targeted at tech-savvy riders seeking convenience and connectivity.

Performance and Range

Powering the Flying Flea C6 is a 15.4 kW electric motor paired with a 3.91 kWh battery pack housed within an aluminium frame designed to optimize weight distribution and aerodynamics.

According to Royal Enfield, the motorcycle delivers an IDC-certified range of 154 kilometres on a single charge, making it suitable for daily city commuting and short weekend rides.

Performance figures include:

  • Top Speed: 115 km/h
  • Range: 154 km (IDC claimed)
  • 0-100 km/h Acceleration: 3.7 seconds
  • Charging Time (20%-80%): Approximately 65 minutes

The impressive acceleration figures demonstrate how electric motorcycles continue to challenge conventional expectations in terms of performance.

Building an Electric Ecosystem

Royal Enfield is not just selling an electric motorcycle—it is also investing in the infrastructure needed to support EV customers.

The company has established dedicated touchpoints and service channels specifically for Flying Flea owners. This specialized network is expected to assist customers with charging solutions, software updates, maintenance, and battery-related support.

Industry experts believe this customer-centric approach could play a crucial role in building confidence among buyers who are transitioning from petrol-powered motorcycles to electric alternatives.

A New Chapter for an Iconic Brand

For decades, Royal Enfield has been synonymous with thumping engines and long-distance touring. The Flying Flea C6 signals a bold departure from that tradition while preserving the company’s heritage-inspired design philosophy.

As deliveries begin and more units hit Indian roads, the success of the Flying Flea C6 could shape Royal Enfield’s electric future and influence how legacy motorcycle brands adapt to the rapidly evolving mobility landscape.

For enthusiasts and EV adopters alike, the Flying Flea C6 is more than just a new motorcycle—it is the beginning of Royal Enfield’s electric revolution.
