Nothing Set to Expand Its Smartphone Lineup with Phone 4b
Nothing is gearing up to unveil its next budget-friendly smartphone, the Nothing Phone 4b, in India on July 7. While the company has kept most details under wraps, fresh leaks have offered an early look at what buyers can expect from the upcoming handset.
Positioned below the recently launched Phone 4a series, the Phone 4b is expected to target users looking for premium features without a flagship price tag.
Leaked Specifications Hint at a Powerful Mid-Range Performer
According to well-known smartphone tipster Yogesh Brar, the Nothing Phone 4b is likely to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, promising smoother scrolling, gaming and multimedia performance.
Powering the smartphone could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, making it capable of handling everyday tasks, multitasking and gaming efficiently.
The leak also suggests that the handset will be available in two memory configurations:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage
- 8GB RAM + 256GB Storage
If the specifications prove accurate, the Phone 4b could become one of the strongest contenders in India’s competitive mid-range smartphone segment.
Large Battery and Android 16 Out of the Box
Battery life is expected to be another major highlight. The Nothing Phone 4b is tipped to pack a 5,400mAh battery, although charging speeds remain undisclosed.

Interestingly, the smartphone is also expected to ship with Android 16 right out of the box, making it one of the early smartphones to feature Google’s latest mobile operating system.
On the camera front, leaks point towards a 50MP primary rear camera, though Nothing has not yet revealed details about the secondary sensor or selfie camera.
Signature Transparent Design Returns
One design element that continues to define the brand is its transparent aesthetic, and the Phone 4b appears set to carry that legacy forward.
Official teaser images released by Nothing reveal the company’s signature transparent rear panel, showcasing decorative internal elements including visible screws, textures and industrial-style accents.
The smartphone is expected to arrive in a blue colour option, while reports indicate that additional colour variants may also be announced during the launch.

The rear panel is also expected to feature a vertically aligned dual-camera module alongside the company’s distinctive Glyph Bar LED interface, allowing users to receive charging updates, notifications and app alerts through customisable lighting effects.
Flat side rails paired with gently curved rear edges are expected to provide a modern look while improving grip during daily use.
Official Confirmation Still Awaited
Although the leaked specifications paint an impressive picture, Nothing has not officially confirmed the hardware details. Buyers should treat these reports as preliminary information until the company unveils the smartphone on July 7.
The launch event is expected to reveal the phone’s final specifications, pricing, availability and launch offers for the Indian market.
With a premium-looking design, promising hardware and the possibility of launching with Android 16, the Nothing Phone 4b could emerge as one of the most talked-about affordable smartphones of the year.
