The Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser Concept showcased at the Brno Motorcycle Show features a powerful 999cc engine, premium components and a striking retro-modern cruiser design.

New Delhi: Legendary motorcycle manufacturer Jawa has taken enthusiasts by surprise with the unveiling of its stunning Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser Concept at the Brno Motorcycle Show in the Czech Republic. The concept motorcycle showcases the brand’s vision of combining timeless cruiser styling with cutting-edge engineering and premium components.

The futuristic machine has been designed by renowned Czech designer Jan Hrbek, who also played a key role in creating the recently showcased Jawa 730 Twin.

Classic Jawa DNA Meets Modern Engineering

The Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser carries a low-slung cruiser silhouette while retaining several styling cues inspired by the brand’s rich heritage. However, beneath its retro-inspired design lies a thoroughly modern performance machine.

The concept is powered by a 999cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, developed in the Czech Republic. According to available specifications, the engine delivers an impressive 113 hp and 95 Nm of peak torque, enabling the motorcycle to reach a claimed top speed of 215 km/h.

The bike reportedly weighs around 240 kg, while the seat height has been set at 795 mm, making it suitable for sport-cruising enthusiasts looking for both performance and comfort.

Premium Hardware Throughout

Reports suggest that the motorcycle is built on a strengthened version of the chassis used in the Jawa 730 Twin, which was jointly developed with Swiss engineering specialist Suter Industries.

The upgraded frame has been engineered to accommodate the larger and more powerful 999cc engine.

Premium cycle parts further underline the motorcycle’s exclusivity, including:

  • Öhlins fully adjustable suspension
  • Upside-down (USD) front forks
  • Twin rear shock absorbers
  • Brembo Stylema brake callipers
  • OZ Racing lightweight wheels
  • LeoVince performance exhaust system

These high-end components place the Sport Cruiser firmly in the premium superbike segment.

Prototype Today, Collector’s Item Tomorrow?

The motorcycle displayed at Brno is believed to be a pre-production prototype. Industry reports suggest the project has been jointly developed by Jawa and Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Jedi, although neither company has officially confirmed the collaboration.

Production plans also remain closely guarded. Several reports indicate that only 10 to 15 units could eventually be built, making the motorcycle one of Jawa’s rarest creations.

Luxury Price Tag Rumoured

If industry speculation proves accurate, the Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser could carry a price tag of around €62,000, translating to approximately ₹68 lakh.

At that price, the motorcycle is unlikely to target mainstream buyers. Instead, it is expected to appeal to collectors and enthusiasts seeking an ultra-exclusive motorcycle that combines heritage with modern engineering excellence.

Although there is no official word yet on commercial production or availability in international markets, the concept has already generated significant excitement among motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide.
