Xiaomi Teases New Redmi Note Launch in India… Redmi Note 17 Price Leaks Ahead of Official Debut
The upcoming Redmi Note smartphone is expected to feature an 8,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, and a 120Hz OLED display, while leaked prices hint at its positioning in India.
Xiaomi has officially confirmed that a new Redmi Note smartphone is on its way to the Indian market. Although the company has not revealed the device’s name, industry reports strongly suggest it will be the Redmi Note 17, which has already made its debut in China.
The company has started teasing the smartphone on its official channels, with a particular focus on its massive battery, indicating that long battery life will be one of the device’s biggest selling points.
Meanwhile, fresh leaks have also revealed the smartphone’s expected pricing in India, giving consumers an early glimpse of what to expect before the official launch.
Redmi Note 17 Expected Price in India
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Redmi Note 17 could be priced at around ₹30,000 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
The higher-end 8GB RAM + 128GB model is expected to cost approximately ₹33,000.
Since these figures are based on leaks, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the pricing. The company is also yet to announce the smartphone’s official launch date for India.
Expected Specifications
Another well-known tipster, Yogesh Brar, has shared several expected specifications for the upcoming smartphone.
According to the leak, the Redmi Note 17 may feature:

- 120Hz refresh rate
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor
- HyperOS 3 based on Android 16

It runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset paired with the Adreno 613 GPU.
Storage options in China include 6GB and 8GB RAM, with configurations offering up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
The device also includes a 50MP rear camera, an 8MP selfie shooter, and the same 8,000mAh battery with fast charging support.

While Xiaomi has yet to announce the official launch date, the company’s teaser campaign indicates that the Redmi Note 17 could arrive in India in the coming weeks.
With a large battery, high-refresh-rate OLED display, modern software, and competitive hardware, the smartphone is expected to strengthen Xiaomi’s presence in India’s highly competitive mid-range smartphone segment.
