The Lamborghini Urus SE Performante combines an 800 bhp hybrid powertrain, carbon-fibre construction and cutting-edge technology to become the brand's most powerful Super SUV.

Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy: Lamborghini has taken the performance SUV segment to a new level with the unveiling of the Urus SE Performante, the most powerful and technologically advanced Urus ever built. Combining a plug-in hybrid powertrain, lightweight carbon-fibre construction and enhanced aerodynamics, the latest Super SUV delivers breathtaking performance while also offering an all-electric driving mode.

Here are five key things you should know about the new Lamborghini Urus SE Performante.

1. Powerful hybrid V8 delivers 800 bhp

The biggest highlight of the Urus SE Performante is its advanced plug-in hybrid powertrain.

It combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine with a permanent-magnet electric motor, producing a combined output of 800 bhp and 1,000 Nm of peak torque.

According to Lamborghini, this represents an increase of 146 PS and 150 Nm over the previous Urus Performante, making it the most powerful production Urus to date.

The SUV is also capable of driving more than 60 km on electric power alone, thanks to its 25.9 kWh battery pack mounted beneath the load floor.

2. Supercar-rivalling performance

Despite its SUV proportions, the Urus SE Performante offers acceleration figures that rival many supercars.

Lamborghini claims the SUV can achieve:

  • 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds
  • 0-200 km/h in 10.8 seconds
  • Top speed of 312 km/h

These figures make it one of the fastest luxury performance SUVs currently available.

3. Lighter and more aerodynamic than before

Lamborghini has focused heavily on reducing weight and improving aerodynamic efficiency.

The SUV features extensive use of carbon fibre, including the:

  • Hood
  • Roof
  • Wheel arches
  • Rear diffuser

These changes reduce the overall weight by 32 kg, bringing the kerb weight down to 2,473 kg.

Aerodynamic upgrades include a redesigned front splitter, dual rear spoilers, and a new carbon-fibre bonnet.

According to the company, the improvements result in:

  • 3% lower aerodynamic drag
  • 16% more downforce than the previous Urus Performante
  • 23% more downforce than the standard Urus SE
  • 8% better brake cooling

4. New AURA suspension enhances comfort and handling

One of the biggest technological additions is Lamborghini’s new AURA dual-chamber air suspension system.

The company says the advanced setup reduces body roll by 55% during aggressive driving while lowering comfort-related vibrations by 25%, offering a balance between everyday usability and track-ready dynamics.

The SUV also introduces:

Drivers can also choose from existing modes such as:

  • Strada
  • Sport
  • Corsa

Lamborghini’s vision for the Super SUV

Speaking about the new model, Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Lamborghini, said the company continues to push the boundaries of the performance SUV segment.

He noted that Lamborghini first introduced the concept of the Super SUV with the legendary LM002, before redefining the segment again with the Urus. According to him, the Urus SE Performante represents the highest expression of that philosophy by combining electrification with extreme performance.

With its hybrid technology, lightweight engineering and luxury-focused interior, the Lamborghini Urus SE Performante sets a new benchmark for high-performance SUVs.
